Fantastic food, great selection! most importantly is the service.. The people are friendly and so warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants authentic chinese food.Have lived in Asia a number of years overlook the snooty reviews , cant fault the kuen loong or owners .在中国新年快乐or GONG HEY FAT CHOY TO ALL
Really bad fish and chips All batter, no fish, and the Chinese was even worse! For $50 it was extremely expensive for what we got!We would suggest the Waikanae beach takeaways far better!(they just happened to be shut)
Have been to this Chinese takeaway many times over several years and agree the food is very good and reasonably priced.Recommend the combination fried rice which is consistently good has very little oil in it and the ingredients are fresh and full of natural flavour.Owners are really nice people too and the service is great, actually think it bets the Eastern Egret for food quality and taste.
I must visit here again, lovely pineapple fritters, spring rolls, fabulous fish with sweet and sour sauce, sauce is served in separate container so the fish batter doesn’t get soggy, and finally roast pork verges cashews and sauce . All was great, can’t wait to try again on next visit to Waikanae.
Love getting our takeaways from here. The food is excellent! you have to try it! I recommend this restaurant to all my friends who come back to me with positive reviews. Well done Kuen Loong
