Great fish and chips. The fish are huge. You have a choice of homemade or bought chips – both are nice. They take phone orders too, which is handy on Friday nights. Scoops make a great cheeseburger – yum!!
Not bad fish and chips had heard high ratings of the homemade fries, chips had potential but weren’t crisp I’m sure if you asked for well done or crunchy fries could be something awesome.
We now live in Trentham and decided to check out Scoops. We heard mainly good reviews and the odd negative review about it being too greasy but we didn’t have this problem. The place was really busy on a Friday night and there was a 20 min wait for food. The chips were cooked really well and the burgers were good. Fish was fresh, not overcooked or any excess batter.Edit: We tried the home cooked chips the other day and they were awful and greasy. I would recommend getting the standard chips.
