Perfect little place for drinks! We came here after hearing good things and very impressed with the vibe of the place especially the roof top views! We ordered cocktails (Good Sunshine) and gin with tonic, all came quickly and cocktails are delicious here! Definitely will be back and highly recommend for a cute spot to drink ☺️
This bar is ridiculous to find! The address provided is 8/11 Dixon St but it is actually found at R/54 Taranaki St! It does offer great views of Wellington and has a quirky Melbourne vibe.
Inspired by Melbourne laneways, Dirty Little Secret is Wellington’s first rooftop bar, featuring graffiti art walls, industrial chic decor, hip vibes, and of course, the chance to combine the love of food with fresh air and stargazing.I first discovered Dirty Little Secret when my friends and I enjoyed an afternoon drink there, overlooking Courtenay Place and Mount Victoria. Last weekend, my friends and I returned for a taste of their food menu. From their bacon & halloumi sandwiches served with your choice of fries or greens, to my crispy skin salmon, we were very impressed! Our food was generously portioned and delicious. While my friends thought the bread could have been crunchier and questioned one of them receiving fries and the other potatoes, I was especially satisfied with my juicy, succulent salmon served with lots of healthy kale.My cocktail exceeded my expectations, too. The Velvet Peach Bellini which I expected to be a plain coral pink cocktail in a flute glass was served an effervescent golden & pink colour, decorated with a sugar rim and cherry. With the flavour of peach schnapps, Velvet Falernum liqueur and brut wine, it was sweet, sparkling & sophisticated!I loved the bar & atmosphere so much I took some friends to the rooftop again the next night, enjoying a Wild Earth Pinot Noir Rose from their wine list. They weren’t serving their food menu anymore as it was just before 10pm, but we enjoyed some incredibly tasty roasted potatoes. Nonetheless, it was warm, cozy & inviting with a great energy; the perfect venue for a group of friends. I love that you could choose to stay under the lights & heaters, or lie down & relax on the bean bags.If you’re in Wellington, Dirty Little Secret is definitely worth a visit if you’re after good food, gorgeous cocktails and dining with a view!Velvet Peach Bellini $14The Roof High Salmon $28The Couple (bacon & halloumi sandwich) $18Wild Earth Pinot Noir Rose $10 sophiajoy.blog
Went there on a no so sunny day and it was still really pleasant. Cocktails were really well made and the dj was mood lifting ! The view is not too bad either bu the best part is the barbecue on the roof. A chef is there cooking his burgers and then passing among the people, so you don’t have to go to the bar you can just wait to have those cuties (burgers he) making their way to you. And the burger was quite good and cheapish. Will definitely go back on a sunny day, however I reckon this is one of the place that is going to be really crowded all the time..
