We had breakfast here on both our mornings in Wellington. The staff were friendly and efficient. My wife had cooked breakfasts which she enjoyed. My coffees were very good The cafe is bright, with a cheerful ambience and well located on the waterfront.

Black Doris has exceptional views from its waterfront location. Disappointing to see one of the cafe workers on a break casually discard their cigarette butt on the walkway. A bin is just near the door to the cafe.
