Unfortunately a very underwhelming fish dish compiled of a fairly average and over cooked market fish and a lot of very greasy bamboo shoots. Pretty disappointing considering the price 🙁 however, all of the other options my friends chose looked delightful !
We went here for dinner, we couldn’t decide where to go sitting in our room. Glad we did. Service was excellent. Things have probably changed for the better reading some past reviews. We ordered the soup of the day, an excellent carrot & thyme soup, the lamb shank, and the rib eye. All delicious!

Stayed at Novotel Wellington, service was excellent. Breakfast menu catered for everyone’s needs. Fresh food staff were great. Family friendly I would definitely go back and would highly recommend this cosy restaurant.
Friendly and Comfortable. After a long few days of travelling and sightseeing it was great to be able to sit and have a proper meal. The food and the staff here were both top notch. Buffet breakfast in the morning had all the usual suspects (bacon, eggs, toast, cereal etc etc) and was all hot and fresh.Would definitely stay at the Novotel and dine in Caucus next time I’m in Wellington.
The service is excellent, the staff are so good at what they do. Big portions, very inventive pizzas. Last time I went, they had a lunch pizza special. An average size pizza of your choice, and a salad for $8! P.S- best calamari I have had in a very long time!
Service was great – staff were friendly, approachable and were always available and around. Nice, relaxing setting. Food was great value for money. I got the rump steak and it was of excellent proportion. Wouldn’t recommend sitting by elevator area as you get the cold draft coming up through the elevator shaft. Wine is too pricy. Cost: starters were around $8.00, entree around $14.00, mains around $31.00, desserts (which I didn’t have because we were full from entee and main) was around $11.00. Proportions made it worth the price. Use your advantage plus card and everything is half price!
