The food is up to a great standard, it’s an amazing place to go for after work beers or a dine in experience. Great in winter next to the log fire, great selection of drinks!

I came here with a friend and got the Pork belly chicharrones with charcoal crumbed prawns and it was delicious. It is more upmarket but with the view over the water and the incredible food it is definitely worth it

I decided to come to Dockside for lunch instead of the neighbouring restaurant. The service was attentive and friendly. The ordering, food arrival, and plate clearance were at a timely manner. The white wine sangria was refreshing on a sunny afternoon. The fish mains (salmon and tarakihi) were both beautiful in taste and plating. The green beans and broccolini on the side were simple but accompanied the fish well. For dessert I had the chocolate sphere, and every component on the plate complimented each other. The whole experience was top notch. The restroom also contains hair maintenance tools. How handy dandy.Service: 5/5Food: 5/5Drinks: 5/5Ambience: 5/5Cleanliness: 5/5

unfortunately we chose to dine at the same time as a large function, service was rather slow but that was to be expected. our meal was definitely worth the wait though! i had an yummy spicy bloody mary which accompanied my meal perfectly. i had the scallops for my entree, which was light but tasty & my partner had the soft shell crab which he raved about. for our mains we had the salmon which was nothing special still yum & the chicken which was also yum. all in all was an enjoyable night, we were seated right by the water which was a highlight.

Ordered the scallops entree, sent it back once because it was cold, gave it a second go and it was horrible, especially for the price. The fish and chips main was great however and the view and location of the place is lovely. Service is amazing as when we complained about our horrible scallops meal we were told we would not have to pay for it. Wouldn’t go again as it is very expensive and food was average but location and service was great.

I had dinner at the Dockside Restaurant & Bar on a very recent visit to Wellington.Pretty hard to fault – great service, terrific food, nice atmosphere. I had a scallop and calamari starter which was good followed by a ribeye steak which was excellent.Service was excellent throughout.A great restaurant,

Service at this restaurant was outstanding and the food was simply divine. Food was a little slow coming out but it was still prepared in time for us to attend WOW on time. I was a little disappointed I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip when paying the bill as I find that rude. Will definitely go again.
