At least a weekly lunch at Midland. Good fresh sushi and a wide array of combinations. They don’t drown the sushi in sauce like many around Wellington which is nice, keeps it simple and lets the freshness of the food speak. Inexpensive and they don’t care if you just want 3 pieces at $3 for a quick afternoon tea snack which is nice. Would recommend.
This is the BEST sushi I have ever tasted in my life!! Wish Midland Sushi was in Auckland as well. The sushi is fresh and delicious. The staff are also really friendly as well. If you want sushi in Wellington, this is the place to go to.

A very good sushi bar with fresh and delicious sushi. Even though the price can be high, it is well worth the top quality food you will receive. The variety of sushi is commendable, with most tastes being accommodated for. The sushi is always made fresh and often right in front of you. I have no hesitation recommending Midland Sushi as a place to grab lunch or a snack.
Unfortunately midland have lost their mojo latelyincreased prices, smaller portions/worse sushi quality. Looks like all their business has gone to the Woodward St sushi place. No more queues at lunchtime is a bonus I guess

I have been to this sushi place a lot and everytime during lunch, you have to wait in a cue for a good while but its worth it. But if you go too early or too late, you may be unfortunate like me and get an avocado triangle with brown avocado in. Not nice!
