Decent for a feed and on the wallet! They have a great can do attitude and are more than willing to make up a sandwich for you if they’ve just run out of your cabinet favorite. Had the bacon and eggs on sourdough not bad for $12!
Relish is a great little place for a quick bite to eat. It is a simple little place with some prepared ready to eat Asian options. I had the red curry which was a good medium spicy flavour and was equal to any red curry that you get at a Thai restaurant.
Outstanding. Friendly service, great selection of food and has a good selection for allergies (I have an egg allergy and gluten intolerance). Had the beef salad and the noodle salad and both were really yum! They even warmed the noodle salad for me. Good spot to sit too as its a little secluded which is a nice break from the hustle and bustle of wellingtons golden mile. Will be back. A+
Relish is a little hole-in-the-wall cafe that you wouldn’t necessarily spot from the main streets of Lambton Quay. If you do swing by that way though, I’d recommend giving it a go. I ordered a prawn laksa, which has really been a long time coming because I smell it cooking almost every day when I walk past. I got it as a takeaway and it looked smaller than what it would be if I’d dined in, but that’s not a major complaint.I was really pleasantly surprised when I opened it. The red-orange broth was glistening, and it had a generous amount of vegetables (onions, carrots, etc) and juicy succulent prawns. They were really generous with the prawns, and I was really satisfied after my meal. Great level of spice as well–it has the right amount of kick without making my eyes water. They also have sandwiches made to order. I’ve tried these a couple of times and every time, my sandwiches have turned out perfectly grilled, cheesy, and chock full of ingredients. Really reasonable prices starting from $5.50 too.Showstopper: Definitely the range of food available and the made-to-order sandwiches. Really suitable for people working around that area.Overall grade: A
Great place to get a jam packed sandwich or a mix of salads. My quick ‘go to’ lunch place. Favourite is a the egg salad and the bread his always fresh. Fast friendly service.
