I am a passionate Wellingtonian foodie. I decided to try this café for a late breakfast – undoubtedly the worst I have had in a Wn café in years. I arrived and ordered a brunchie breakfast with coffee. The waitress who served the coffee slammed it down on the table and left without a smile; when I asked for sugar, she sullenly returned, without a word and slammed that down on the table too, then turned on her heel and left. No response to my cheery, “Thank you.” The coffee was ok – just 6/10. The breakfast – poached eggs – rock hard, kale, a green hollandaise which tasted weird and awful; two small pieces of bacon that had been fried to a burnt husk; potato hash-cakes – (fried, oily, luke warm, greasy). 2/10 An unfriendly, bad food, bad eating experience. Great cafe focused around healthy food. Tried vegan benny and it is mind blowing. The taste is incredible. There are variety of smoothies and other cool things also. Highly recommend.
Got the smoothie bowl and waffles.Love that seize has many vegan and gluten free options as there aren’t many dedicated solely to this in the CBD. Smoothie bowl was delicious, waffles were good but a little soggy/dense in the middle. Overall, delicious food (even if a little pricey) and would go again.
I love that I have so many options here, and the salads are great but I don’t love the prices. I’d eat here more often it was more reasonable. For now it will have to remain an occasional lunch option.
Had such an amazing experience here. Such fresh and healthy food, with options that suit many dietary requirements. Would definitely come again!
After seeing such a high rating on Zomato, this did seem like the place to go for my first meal in Wellington, but overall I was a bit disappointed in taste and substance of the my order of waffles. Unfortunately the flowers doesn’t save the dish. Came off a bit dry and flavourless and left the place still hungry.
The food in Seize was alright. I ordered the smoothie bowl and that was tasty. However, every staff here seems don’t know how to smile. They just stand there and didn’t greeting people at all.
