Well I attended a private Function there on Sunday it was a Farewell Service, with 60 other people,This Sad event was well planned by the family, yet the staff weren’t organised when we arrived, the food platters were disgusting and so over priced And the Service was disgusting, and the staff were so rude. And people wonder why establishments are closing down in the Hutt Valley, I would say 99% of those 60 people wont be re booking this Venue for any large event.
Our work Xmas party was held here. We had a smorgasbord and it was horrible. No Christmassy food at all. Bread rolls were hard. Chicken was drumsticks in runny gravy. I didn’t eat that. Looked too gross. No carvery. Limp lettuce salad worse than I make at home and I’m no cook. Pork was ok, but all in bits in gravy again. We were a big group and they had trouble keeping up with us. Kumera tasted ok. Other cooked veg were cold and covered in runny cheese sauce. Pudding choices included things like tan slice that looked like it came from supermarket and cheesecake that looked like a packet frozen one. I felt sorry for the staff as they we’re run off their feet, but didn’t have anything nice to serve us. Very poor management. Venue was cluttered with junk and not clean. Not enough room between tables.
We have wanted to go here for some time and went for Sunday brunch. First impression, looked ok, but only one other couple there which caught me by surprise as we had heard good things about Bellevue. Breakfast and lunch menus were basic and on the cheaper side. Staff didn’t look too happy, not rude, but not attentive. This is when we should have left! Firstly, a fluffy for our 2 year old arrived without a saucer, spoon or marshmallow, that was too hot for him to drink! We ordered, cheesy bread, 3 small pieces of French stick that felt like they were microwaved then put under a grill. Followed by a big breakfast – bacon, eggs, hash browns, spaghetti, sausages (that didn’t smell too great so didn’t eat) and toast. A chicken burger with fries – very limp, thin burger bun with tasteless salad (definitely didn’t taste fresh), limp lettuce with brown edges, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion and a processed chicken burger patty that was cardboard, like reheated leftovers. Chicken nuggets and fries were fine. No table service from the time our order was taken, and no acknowledgement on leaving. Very disappointed and the worst meal we have ever had!
Went for a meeting had dinner great roast chicken salad fries was very tasty service was great Please remember under new mangement takes a while for people to find their feet but I have always had great service in the time Myself & Husband & friend have been going we’ve made it a weekly thing so come along enjoy great nights of Music karaoke music and fun
Went there for breakfast and ordered poached eggs on toast. How hard could that be. When it finally arrived after everybody else at the table had finished their breakfast it was 2 watery eggs with no toast. Worst meal I have ever had.
This place has really gone downhill. Just had the most disappointing meal. On arriving we were seated at a table for 6 (even though there was just two of us) and only two other groups in the restaurant. The waitress didn’t offer us a drink and just said are you ready to order. I asked to see the wine list but they didn’t appear to have one. The menu was very small which I thought was a good sign. Wrong. I had a t-bone steak (medium rare) which was as tough as old leather and dry. The chips were the best thing on the plate (tomato sauce was in a little plastic nip cup) the salad was limp and covered in a heavy dressing. Partner had apple crumble which was terrible. Did not get asked once if our meals were ok. What a pity – I have been here several times over the years and the food and service was always great. I have only given this one star to be able to post this.
Would not recommend for a 21st, Very unorganised, Staff were extremely rude from the start of the night to the end of the night. Was told by phone they would have enough shot glasses to do 21 shots not straight shots mixed shots, When it came to doing the shots was told we wernt allowed to do them and they didn’t have enough glasses. Music only goes to a he-arable level then cuts out. DO NOT HAVE A 21ST HERE! we are extremely disappointed with the hole thing and spent over $5000,00 with this venue
