Very nice setting in the old town. Both, the outside and the inside of the cafe is nicely decorated. Even the bathroom has a cool mural. The food is delicious, the staff very friendly.Only the preparation time could be a bit shorter.
Took a little gallery pause and had coffee and cake at this little café. A bit hidden but cozy with a relaxed atmosphere. A variety of cakes to choose from, and also other lunch courses.

Took way too long to get served our order. Nearly one hour wait for a disappointing Greek salad with no real feta cheese, a pai that could have been purchased at rema 1000 and an OK club sandwich.
In old town of Fredrikstad most buildings are from the 15th and 16th century. You will enjoy visiting this cafe either for a small snack or full lunch or dinner – sitting outside or inside. Recommend gulasj for lunch and vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Magenta Cafe is a cozy place with nice food. The coffee is not the best and the service can be quite rude – especially when the guests at English speakers (this varies between the different staff members).
