The Fitzcarraldo is a lovely restaurant on the riverfront, with delicious food and good service with brilliantly prepared regional and international dishes. It has the best coffee in town and its one of the few places in Iquitos where you can enjoy a peaceful and quiet venue during the day. The place is a tribute to the Werner Herzog movie Fitzcarraldo filmed in Iquitos in 1982. Visit the gift shop with Peruvian and Amazonian handicraft. It is located one block from Plaza de Armas. Pleasently air conditioned.
