Been dining here for several years now and have to tell you that food is still amazing! A homey quaint place in the middle of a garden. Pork sisig and Sinigang sa Miso has been an all time favorite for us, it gives you that comforting feeling the moment you eat their food. Food is very consistent, no matter how many times you come back.. it will still be the same taste! If you love Filipino home cooked meals, this is the spot. A little gem amidst the vast selection of restaurants in Tagaytay.
THERE’S AN INSECT IN OUR FOOD!!! Will never eat here again!!! Very bad experience!! There’s alot of insects! Definitely not worth it. Plus there was an insect in our food! I asked if they could replace pero dedma, they didn’t even acknowledge this. Very unprofessional.
Our go to place in Tagaytay for Filipino comfort food.
Food – nothing really special on their food and the taste.Price – almost similar to nearby and more known restaurants.Service – Serving of food takes too long, esp. if there’s more than 2 groups of diners. Had a bad experience of waiting for an hour and worse, though we came & placed our orders ahead of the group next to our table, their food was served earlier than ours.Location – Situated near mahogany market & little souls.
Best Bagnet and Bulalo in town. My dad’s favorite. Just don’t forget to wear your insect repellant lotion especially when during the rainy season – this is the only downside of dining in here. It’s a go to place though for best tasting but affordable food.
Best bagnet that I tried. Crunchy edges, juicy and tender inside. And just the right amount of saltiness. I like their chopsuey next. The sauce tasted more like meat than the typical oyster sauce or soy sauce base. The vegetables are well-cooked and firm. All the food that I tried are above average to very good. The pinakbet could use more shrimp paste though. Char’s has by far the best tasting Pinoy-style menu in Tagaytay. It beats most other NCR Pinoy food restos, as well. The garden setting makes the experience quite relaxing. Except maybe during a very hot weather. The staff were nice and attentive.
