We stopped here to grab some lunch and maybe to enjoy the view; however, we were told that the highest floor was closed, so we had to stay on the first floor or in the kubos. They suggested that we stay in a kubo or hut, so we did. However, we weren’t oriented that we had to ring the bell to call their attention. We figured it out ourselves. Even after ringing the bell, it took them a long period of time to assist us. Lastly, when the bill was given to us, we noticed that there were some discrepancies. When we asked the cashier in the building, we found out that the price of the buko juice was corrected and was changed to 75 pesos; however, we were sure that the menu given to us showed that each buko juice was worth 65 pesos only.On the other hand, the food was good. We ordered the special bulalo and we first thought it was pricey, but when it was served, we couldn’t even finish the whole bowl. The tapsilog was also good, reasonable price.

Out of all the bulalo joints, my friend brought us here because he said that the bulalo here is special and tasty. It’s my first time to see a bulalo bowl so huge that can be shared by 3-4pax. Good thing it’s unlimited broth! My verdict for their bulalo is just average, though it was nice to have on a cold breezed night at Tagaytay.
The best bulalo is here! The small kubos outside the main area is also a very nice place to eat with your family and friends. 🙂 There is a very nice server named Trish, super masipag and maasikaso.
On a quick road trip, my friends and I went off to Tagaytay and had a quick dinner at Mer ben. We ordered their extra special bulalo and their crisoy tawilis with rice. While I found their broth salty the beef itself was so tender especially the parts of fat and litid. Their tawilis was crunchy no need to tske it apart but just bite it straight. Our order was good for two and cost around 700 pesos. Service was good and there are even acoustic singers. fatgirlsdayout.com
I had a sudden foodtrip with my workmates and decided to go to Tagaytay to have some bulalo. Along the road, we saw this area with lively lights on seems good place to eat, so we decided. We tried different dishes. The kare-kare as well as the chopsuey tasted sweet but still delicious. The tawilis was evenly deep fried and tasty perfectly matches the bulalo. It was good for my first try. We had a big serving of crispy pata. It was as well good match with kare-kare. I was pleased with the bulalo as it was served with a lot of beef and I can say that the soup broth was so tasty. The cold breeze and ambiance made our meal even better.
Famous for their silog meals and ihaw ihaw. Their tapa is surprisingly good for only 90php! They also serve bulalo, sisig, kare kare etc. Price is okay and they have a second floor where you can enjoy the cold breeze of Tagaytay.
