Food is average. Food took an hour before served even though the place is not busy. Service crew are not hospitable and lastly, the table is so sticky and oily.
Nothing less is expected from the branch same as Leslie’s (because this resto is names after his wife). Amazing food and relaxing ambience in the heart of Tagaytay. Their bulalo is of the same taste as Leslie’s only cheaper.
DIRTY FOOD! When we were seated, we noticed that the seats and the table top were sticky. We told our server, but he did not clean the table or the seats. We finished eating our food with the dirty used utensils beside our table. The servers will spot you with your hand raised, but then quickly glance the other way, as if you were a ghost or completely invisible. They are so annoying that it had already been our Nth time to follow up a request.
Quite affordable and good Filipino food. I’ve only tried their Bulalo and sisig and I enjoyed both. The place exudes a relaxing mood too since you can have your food inside a kubo/nipa hut.
We enjoyed the great tasting bulalo from Nanay Dorie’s. We were hesitant to try eating here at first because we were more familiar with the others who were first in the business. The broth was oozing with goodness and utak. Also I enjoyed their lechon kawali. Compared with the other bulalohan around, this is a MUST try. justsodellish.com
The first time we were here we were so impressed of ourselves that our bill was just less than 1k for 4 pax. A budget friendly resto, cheaper version of Leslies, and Im not sure if I hear it right that they are related. Anyway about the food, it is almost the same as the other bulalohan joint in the area but they have meals that are so practical.
After our trip to Calatagan, we went straight to Tagaytay as we craved for bulalo. It was Saturday night and all bulalo enthusiasts are out having dinner in all those overrated restaurants. And we found Nanay Dorie’s Bulalohan.Service was ok. We didn’t have to wait long for our food to be served. Price justifies what is served. We ordered, of course, their bulalo. And had tawilis, and lechon kawali. We left the place full and pretty much satisfied.
