Lechon kawali was not crispy. The tinola soup was a bit salty, we need to add water just to normalize the taste.Laing is okay. I only enjoyed the Tinapa rice and their free appetizer w/c is the singkamas with bagoong since i haven’t had it for years.
Customer Service -1/5 . Slow Service and Bad Customer Service. Nagtuturuan Food- 3/5 . adobo taste nothing like adobo and the food is so so. Small portion sizes. Not worth the price.Ambiance- 3.5 /5definitely not coming back again.
Place is great! The weather is good, overlooking mountains, except the service. It took an hour and a half for our food to be served. They didn’t even serve water, had to tell them pa, good thing we are in good mood. Food is just meh.
We ordered bulalo with monggo and it was disgusting. I thought those little black things floating above the soup were ground peppercorns but upon closer inspection i realized they were those little insects hiding inside the monggo when you bought it fresh from the market. They did not wash the monggo beans well to get rid off the those tiny insects before cooking. EwwNo apologies from the staff by the way. Lol
Taste and quality seems to be in a bit of a decline at Bagoong Club. Crispy Dinuguan used to be the top choice. It needs some reevaluation. Although if people still flock to this place, it seems a majority savor their food.
Visited the place yesterday for late lunch after tiring hike in Nasugbu. We’re craving Bulalo so we ended up in this place after checking other food places in Twin Lakes. Place was nice and spacious. We ordered Bulalo, Ginulat na Tilapia and Sisig. We’re advised that serving time took 20-30mins. Even though we’re really hungry (its 2pm already), we patiently waited for 30mins. We followed up when we noticed that it’s already past 30mins but to our dismay, our food took 2 more follow up before it got served. To worsen it all, we we’re not yet given utensils as if they expect us to just stare down on the food. We nicely asked for the utensils but we really can’t understand why it would take so long. It was really chaotic, my friend had to almost shout so the servers could get us the utensils quickly. We dig in immediately because we’re really hungry now and cleared our rice fast (rice serving was kinda small). We ordered for an extra rice and yes we have to follow up on it again. I could have given it the lowest rating for the crappy service they give but food was decent but yep I think I could find other food place that would give us decent food as well and a way better service.
Slow in service, after a long wait for our food to be serve it was not even hot at all. Its a bit untidy in their veranda area while inside the resto the AC is not enough to cool the place. The view of Taal in the area is good btw.
