IBARRA’S BISTROAcienda Designer Outlet,Tagaytat CityAcienda Designer Outlet is somehow new and some of the stores are still closed and incomplete. Completion of restaurants are still on going and mostly Outlets stores are up, and people are already roaming around shopping and eating.Ibarra’s Bistro can be found near the windmill like building it its located almost at the left corner of the place. It was simple and cozy, and what I like most is the glass windows that attracts the sunlight inside the restaurant. We were greeted by the staffs warmly and the smell and aroma of the food ate really inviting.Well, Ibarra’s Group has been popular for its catering and party venues and now Ibarra’s Bistro is their restaurant venture that is surely a place to visit. Located at the new Acienda Designer Outlet in Silang, they offer bundles of Filipino food for big groups such as family and friends that is perfect after a long day of shopping or before they shop. They also have ala carte dishes for you to enjoy. Here are some of the dishes that we tried:Pot Roast Beef (4/5)– slow cooked braising in red wine served with steamed rice and buttered vegetables. The tender meat with the creamy sauce and mushroom is just perfect for that savory cravings I had.Chicken Salpicao (4/5)– boneless chicken breast in olive oil, garlic oil, bell peppers, mushroom and spices. Is best paired with garlic rice and some tomatoes. The savory taste and spices of the dish is just right and balanced.Mixed Seafood Salpicao (5/5)– mixed of squid, shrimp, and fish fillet, sauteed in garlic, olive oils, bell peppers and spices.I enjoyed this one so much as I like the dish a little bit spicy. The aroma and flavors of the dish is well blended, I would probably order this one extra!Chicken Teriyaki (4/5)– hand-trimmed and grilled marinated chicken in-house-blend teriyaki sauce. For those who love that teriyaki flavor this one is for you. The well balanced taste of the sauce and juicy chicken is a must a try.Pork Belly BBQ (5/5)– slowly grilled marinated pork belly glazed with hickory BBQ sauce. This tender pork meat cooked to perfection is just so perfect with garlic rice partnered with pickled vegetables which I really liked.Pork BBQ on Stick with Kare-Kare Rice(5/5)– two pieces of skewered pork slices marinated in sweet BBQ sauce. Served with Kare-Kare rice and sinamak vinegar.Well this one is a really must try, would probably be loved by kids and adults. The barbeque pork were marinated and grilled perfectly for that tender meat partnered with the Kare Kare Rice were such a perfect combination.Pork Humba (5/5)– Sweet pork dish confit with banana blossoms. The balanced taste of sweetness and saltiness of the sauce with that super tender pork meat is what I enjoyed most.Beef Short Ribs Ala Pobre (4/5)– tender and succulent beef ribs topped with toasted garlic.Beef short ribs is just one of those on top of my list when visiting a restaurant and this one should not be snobbed. Partnered with steamed rice and buttered vegetables this dish is a something you’ll look forward to.Paella Valenciana (5/5)– Lots of seafood and spices are loaded in this dish, thus making it flavorful and delicious and can be eaten on its own.Crispy Pata Bawang (5/5)– Pig’s leg simmered in water with Ibarra’s secret spices. Made more crispy when dipped fried in garlic oil served with soy vinegar. So who would say NO to this one? This is everyone’s favorite and I must say everyone can devour this favorite without even thinking or saying anything ahaha.Beef Kare-Kare (4/5)– beef stew meat cooked with a thick savoury peanut sauce added with mixed native vegetables best with Ibarra’s shrimp paste. Another favorite dish that no one can say NO to. This Kare Kare is also a must try here, though I hope it would be a little more peanutty. The Ibarra’s shrimp paste is best paired with this dish especially with the super tender meat that comes with it.Yogurt Pistachio(4/5)– a refreshing drink that’s nutty and not too sweet. Blueberry Cheesecake (5/5).I find it a balanced dessert for being not too sweet and not too creamy. So what are you waiting for? If ever you’d be around the area, visit and have a dining experience consisting of your favorite Filipino dishes. pauoiefoodandlife.wordpress.com
I tried Ibarra’s dishes way back then when I attended my friend’s wedding. I was excited when I heard that they opened a dining restaurant where people can try some of their best sellers. Their dishes are all about Filipino’s favorites. My top fave among their dishes is the Crispy Pata, though we ate it several minutes after they served it yet it’s still crispy. The meat are juicy too! Another must-try dish is their Paella Valenciana, its seafood toppings are obviously fresh. Don’t forget to scrape the bottom part of the pan, that’s the most delicious part of every Paella. The Kare-Kare has a balance distribution of oxtail and veggies but I hope they make its sauce a little more appetizing. When it comes to their Express Meals allot at least P200-P300 on your budget. I love the sweetness of their BBQ served with delicious Kare-Kare rice. When it comes to food preparation, Ibarra’s mastered the preparation of their meat, all the dishes that I tried with it are tender and juicy. The short ribs are quite salty on its own but when you paired it with rice it’s really delicious. For dessert, don’t forget to try their cheesecake! They also have Family Bundles that costs P2,000 which can be shared by 5 pax.
From food catering business, now it has its own dining restaurant located at Acienda Designer Outlet in Silang Cavite. They are serving all our favorite Filipino comfort dishes. The Crispy Pata Bawang (P700) was on point when it comes to its crispiness. My personal favorite among the dishes that we sampled is the Paella Valenciana (P700) which can served 4-5 pax. The rice is not too mushy and it has generous toppings of seafood. The Beef Kare Kare’s (P480) meat was tender but I find the sauce too watery, maybe they can add more peanuts to make it creamier. They also have Express Meals which consists of rice and a viand, the choices are:-Pork BBQ on stick with Kare Kare Rice (P215)Two pieces of tender pork BBQ served with kare -kare rice. The rice alone is already yummy!-Chicken Salpicao (P210)/Mixed Seafood Salpicao (P260)I prefer the seafood over the chicken though it was kinda salty for my taste. The squid was easy to chew and the shrimps were perfectly cooked.-Pork Humba (P285)This dish was my family’s personal fave, we always have this in every occasion. Ibarra’s version was worth the try! This is one of their best seller!-Beef Short Ribs ala Pobre (P340)Succulent beef ribs loaded with toasted garlic. This is a must-order dish of Ibarra’s Bistro!-Pork Belly Barbeque (P315)Same taste with the marinate of pork bbq on sticks but this one is made out of pork belly so expect the meat a little fatty yet satisfying.-Pot Roast Beef (P310)No doubt when it comes to the tenderness of their meat. I love their cheesecake too! No umay taste factor and not too sweet. If you’re looking for a decent place to eat after shopping, try Ibarra’s Bistro. joyrneytolife.com
Saturday well spent in Tagaytay. If you want to do shopping on the side plus get a scrumptious dish in one then this place is one to go for. Their Paella, Seafood Salpicao and Pork Humba are to die for. The Paellas texture was not too overwhelming and for a reasonable price too. The seafood salpicao was spicy which made it super tasteful. Lastly, the humba reminded me of the good’ol traditional pork dishes during my younger years. It was nostalgia on a dish. It brought me back definitely. The family place had a good, quiet view and a very relaxing mood and ambience. Other notable mentions – their crispy pata, barbeque and baby back ribs are also must trys. So instead of going to your usuals in Tagaytay, make sure you give this one a visit. I think it’s the best in the area. So if you have the time, make sure to check them out. Their prices are around 300-500 and its quantity is quite sizable for any typical family. It’s Ibarra’s first attempt at making into the mainstream resto scene and they’re certainly on a good start with this place. Kudos!! I’ll definitely be back again soon.
