Truly, one of the restaurants to go to in Tagaytay. You will fall in love with the view of Taal while eating. Absolutely loved their handmade piyayas as well. Bought a pack before leaving. On to the other dishes- the bulalo is really good for sharing. We’re a family of 4, and can barely finish the soup. Daming laman! And soup is refillable. I absolutely loved the Kare-Kareng Gulay. The Kare-Kare sauce really tasted like real peanuts; and the amount of vegetables were really generous. We even had some for take out because we couldn’t finish even if we were known, as a family, to eat a lot. The sizzling squid was underwhelming though. We thought it would be the star of the lunch, but it lacked flavor. We were thinking that it will have egg, just like a normal sisig, but it tasted like chopped up grilled squid for me. Balay Dako is a good place to gather big groups. Together they can experience the Filipino homemade food that will bring them closer while savoring the taste of it. Nice ambiance and welcoming staff and crew are plus for me. This place is recommendable.
