I was in Royal Krua Thai very often, since 8 years ago since I started to visit Philippines. I was often with friends to eat together in Krua Thai everytime I came to Cebu, but then I stopped. A lot of changes in Krua Thai as I know from few years ago. The waiter and waitress changed and we just assume, that the chef has changed too. The taste what we know from Krua Thai many years ago is not there anymore. We tried almost every dish in Krua Thai and think we can review it. The portion of the dish is also much smaller than years before.
Not Really a fan of their version of Thai food. Their pomelo salad doesnt have the contrasting refreshing flavor that one would expect. Their Pad Thai is overly wet and a little sloppy minus the nutty and cilantro hints youd expect. It was quite sweet and had too much moisture in it. Their deep fried salted squid wasnt salty at all. Im not really intent in coming back to this place anytime soon. gastrofreak22.blogspot.com
Respectful nice service .The soup was ok, but salty which I request no salt on it. Not the real traditional tom yum . Pad Thai is ok but full of sauce. And the noodles is not much . Suppose to be more . The papaya salad is ok but salty again. And lots of sauce. It’s nice ambient and respectful people
The food was decent though my massamum curry didn’t have any peanuts which is weird. Place is a bit overpriced for what you get , paid 550 for curry, rice and a drink. The free water they gave me had a small bug in it so I asked for a new glass. They never brought it nor did they apologize.. Seems pretty unprofessional. I will not go here again.
Highlights:+ Ambience is Good+ I love their Bagoong Rice , thumbs up+ Serving Time is within the timeframe being set by the staff or even earlier+ Good place to have an adventure in tasting thai cuisine+ attentive staff+ CR is clean and the sink for washing your hands has enough space for you to moveLowlights:- The space is a bit shrimpy not recommended for those folks who are gifted in size coz they will definitely find it uncomfortable eating there ( We sat on the table at the hall directly in front of their cashier)- They can still work on their tables and chairs ( Comfort of the Customer versus Design/Presentation )
We keep coming back here since this is my mama’s favorite resto and she loves the Tom Yum soup.We did not order the usual though and we had the Tofu Curry for the first time which my papa liked very much. The Fresh Vegetarian rolls was a disappointment but I loved their dip or sauce.Pricey but if you get your orders right you’ll find it sulit. Staff was accommodating and has initiative. Looks out for the customers needs!
