Cozy and clean. However the menu choices are not so many. Most of the items are for breakfast. I was expecting great dishes since it was lunch time but i did not. Maybe that is the reason why they call it Brunch buffet instead of lunch buffet. I am not sure if I will come back since the employees are not really attentive. I don’t know maybe they serves only few items since it was a weekday.

Celebrated Valentine’s Day last 2018. Was there a bit past 6pm but the crew were still preparing the place/food. Dinner started almost 7pm. Food was good, but takes time to refill. They serve only 1 round of juice drinks, which is a bit disappointing considering their dinner buffet is at 488php.

Went for brunch today and was genuinely impressed by how simple yet satisfying their food is (affordable too). The menu was staple day-to-day food but it was cooked perfectly well that it made the experience remarkable. Many hotels try to execute extravagant dishes but fail with the basic ones. This place served basic food but you can’t complain because everything is well seasoned, cooked perfectly and mouth-wateringly presented. Sometimes, being basic is more than enough to impress. Servers are also very attentive and friendly. Loved every bite and well worth every peso spent! One of the best brunch places in Cebu for me.

Our team were invited during its buffet relaunching last week. Basically, Halo serves the all-time pinoy favorites. Rico’s Lechon never fails, the crisp and saltiness were just right when served to us; though sometimes consistency is an issue of Rico’s. We loved the Crispy Pata, complemented with a selection of good sauces, and their Chef’s special – the Roast Beef. The grilled chicken (pegged to be come from Dumanjug) was so-so. Even though it was still hot, it wasn’t juicy and flavorful. The pasta needs some improvement too; their carbonara lacked some creaminess and taste. The salad and selection of desserts were satisfyingly good. The halo halo was a good addition too.Overall, Halo delivers. If you’re craving for pinoy dishes and looking to eat in a decent and posh place, this is a good choice. It has almost the same food selection as Sugbufe, though.

Halo Cafe or Halo Restaurant at St. Mark Hotel is the first that I know that offers very local Cebuano dishes in a buffet spread. I love that they pioneered in offering this since most of the hotels are offering fusion and international dishes in their buffet spreads. I also love that they partnered with Rico’s Lechon and included it in their buffet since we Cebuanos really love lechon. Their food were really delicious and I was really amazed seeing kanding na kaldereta, inun-unan, paklay, palitaw, sapin-sapin, and other local dishes. Their service is great too and the staff really greet you with friendly smiles. Another plus point is that they have live classical music which I really enjoyed listening to while eating. Their live band chooses their songs very well that you just wanna sing along. It feels so relaxing. Lastly, their Cebuano buffet is very affordable too for only Php 348! wanderingella.com
