I love having meals around 2AM to 4AM. So I looked this up on zomato and found they’re open 24 hours. They have this midnight menu (from 10:30PM onwards) and I ordered Shoyou Ramen. I don’t remember requesting the noodle to be hard but it was poorly cooked. It tasted like it was soaked in hot water for only 30 seconds. The noodles were tangled. The brought was too salty it tasted like 5 table spoons of soy sauce. The pork tenderloin was cold and not that soft as you expect it to be. The egg yolk was runny. They could sell this kind of ramen for 100. They could do better.Service was good.
Han-nya is Located in Hotel Asia Ground Floor. My friend recommended me to try here coz it’s affordable.I tried their best seller Shoyu Ramen. In fairness their serving was big and I was able to finished it. The soup was good as well as their noodles. I also tried their very own Japanese Rice Tea taste good and unique..Price – ReasonableAmbiance – Good
Good that theres a 24 hrs ramen around the cityNoodles is good for the price also there sushi nd maki. Clean nd good ambience. Menu has many food to choose
Good food with the right price. Location is kinda discreet but ambiance feels okay. The staff are friendly (not all). But boo for the 10% service charge tho. Shoyu Ramen, best seller as claimed, but not my bowl of ramen.
I ordered the ebi tempura to-go priced at P420. The set has 3 mid-sized shrimps that absolutely needed salt, a cup of rice, a tablespoon of slaw, a tiny piece of watermelon and pineapple that seemed more like an afterthought. The 10% service charge is acceptable given how friendly the server is. However, there are better and reasonably priced Japanese eats in the malls.
The thing I love most about this restaurant is that they serve Japanese food 24/7. You can always come here for a warm bowl of Japanese noodles right after a drinking episode somewhere. Most of the time I come here past midnight, and from that time, the place is really peaceful that on almost all occasions, the only sound you hear is from the TV set tuned in to NHK (a Japanese channel), or sometimes the conversation of the Japanese clients themselves. The seating, lights, and ambiance all contribute to the comfort inside the place.PRICEThe cost of dining here is not that Cebuano friendly. Try to think of it this way: Han-nya serves Japanese food (which is already costly per se), and that Han-nya is the hotel restaurant of Hotel Asia. Yes, you are eating hotel food here. However, you won’t really mind the price as long as you can satisfy your Japanese cravings at any given time of the day.FOODIf you have really high standards for your sushis and sashimis, you might find yourself less satisfied with the quality of the mentioned dishes when you have them here. There were numerous times I got served with fish that were still icy. But then again, it’s a 24/7 Japanese restaurant. What I liked here though are the salads (must try: Han-nya Salad), anything from the DEEP-FRIED section of the menu (Ebi tempura, etc.), GYUUDON, their Sandwiches, their NABEYAKI UDON (super yum!), and anything from the GRILLED/Japanese BARBECUE section of the menu (recommended: Salmon Shioyaki). As with the ramen and other noodles, they were fine.Coming here on times past midnight, there were instances that their BREAKFAST SETS were ready for orders. I am a fan of those sets wherein they come with some fruits and Miso soup. It is a well-balanced meal from the Japanese.DRINKINGHan-nya is also a great place for drinking and conversations. Peacefully. Should you want to cap off the night with some more drinks at a quiet environment, this would be the place to do so. My usual pick would be the 900 ml Iichiko bottle which is good for sharing. Pour some in a glass, then dilute it with water, and squeeze some Calamansi. If you can’t finish the bottle, you can always have it kept by the staff and labelled under your name, to be retrieved on your return.SERVICEThe staff were professional and knowledgeable about Japanese cuisine. The restroom was spick and span.
This is my favorite japanese restaurant in cebu. It’s located in the ground floor of hotel asia so one might think that the prices are astronomical. But they’re not. The food is very reasonable for japanese food. You can get a really filling set meal for about 270 to 330 pesos. Everything is delicious;from their sushi to their sukiyaki to their curry udon. I’d particularly recommend their cha soba tekka maki set.
