The food from La Buona are bursting with flavors. A lot of the dishes were enjoyable. Most notable are the scallopine al tartufo nero and the tiramisu. Now I know where to find the perfect tiramisu in Cebu City! For the scallopine al tartufo nero, the thin slices of pork were well married to the black truffles, making each bite so precious. The ambience had a very warm, Italian feel with its rich hues, along with fresh flowers and replicas of famous European paintings, like the works of Leonardo Da Vinci and Johannes Vermeer. The restaurant is an elegant place to dine in and definitely is one of the best Italian restaurants in Cebu City.

I love how the place seems so clandestine! yet they have one of the Yummiest Tiramisu in town! The rich mascarpone, the Liqueur, the scoop of ice cream all come together perfectly to complete dinner!

Back in either 2015 or 2016 we went to this place and had dinner. We had pasta and pizza but one thing caught my attention. They showed the scallops to us it was greenish. I thought I just looked like that so we ordered it. The next day, I had food poisoning from the night before. I went back to Manila sick and having had food poisoning according to the doctor. Please don’t eat their scallops. Save yourself.

As a native swiss and italian and myself a chef, I wanted to surprise my friend with a different dinner than the usual pinoy kitchen. And I was surprised by myself. Nice and gentle staff. The food was prepared with care and mediterran light. Never had such a thin and crunchy foccaccia. Excellent beef carpaccio, even not served out of fridge! Wow. Pizza was okay too. Nice and juice pork cutlet. And at the end a tasty tiramisù.Also if not in the center – a place worth to go! A place for me worth to go again. Grazie!

I remembered the feeling first time I got here, 4 years ago. The food was just a teeny tad short of mind blowing, but getting it was almost a bargain (relatively). The ambiance was great, comfortable and did not feel fake and forced. The evening was lovely. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Cebu. It rained just when we were about to go home, so the owner ended up giving us complementary drinks, and chatted a little bit.
