Japanese restaurant are hard to find in Cebu, for me this is one of the worth it restaurants Japanese restaurants south of Manila. Try their fatty salmon sashimi, spicy tuna salad and their tempura.

It can not be said that it is a Japanese taste, but I think it is good as a Japanese food that can be eaten at CEBU. The price was high, so it was a wonderful environment in the hotel, but I would like you to pursue the taste a little more.

Came here for my sashimi cravings and indeed i was satisfied. They serve fresh salmon! Their tempura rolls are to die for!! Dont miss that! Their yakiniku tepan wasn’t that good tho. Service is great. Ambiance is great, good for date nights. They even have those private rooms for i guess 10pax if you want an intimate dining experience.

Great food, great staff, and place. The price was affordable for a hotel restaurant. Service was big and food was delicious. This place shouts authenticity when it comes to Japanese cuisine.

Apparently my review of this place from days ago didn’t post. Lol I blame my weak internet connection. Anyway, lemme just write a briefer version of the review I wrote days ago.We ordered US kobe beef, gyoza, spicy tuna roll, and menchi katsu. The menchi katsu was alright but I found the beef to be quite bland. The US kobe beef was the supposed highlight, but it didn’t really have the same feel as the kobe beef we had in Japan. Granted, the beef was tender, but it just wasn’t up to par. That, and it couldn’t justify the steep price tag (3,699 php to be exact).Anyway, other than the kobe beef, all the others were actually affordable. Also free wifi yaas. cnicolego.wordpress.com

The best way to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine in urban Cebu. The ambience of the restaurant somehow lets you enjoy the Water Element, pure, dynamic, energizing yet being calm and soft. The fluidity of Water is evident in the way they serve the food and drinks as well as the courteous staff. A must try for those who wanted to experience a zen like state when dining.

AmbianceA fusion of the old and new Japanese design splashed with earth colors which transports you to a Zen-like place, the playful expression of lines, blocks and patterns along with sophisticated fixtures truly captured my eye. With a seating capacity of 108 persons, Mizu is perfectly suited for business, friends and family gatherings.FoodAuthentic Japanese cuisine prepared with careful thought and expertise by Japanese chef Ken Imamura and served in diverse tableware with main ingredients imported from Japan. For our appetizers, we had the Kani Salad at PHP180 (crabstick, cucumber, lettuce and fish roe in Japanese dressing). This dish’s texture and creaminess blew me away. Despite having tasted this dish for the first time, it really put a smile on my face. For our sushi and sashimi, we had the California Maki at PHP195 (mango, cucumber and kani stick coated with ebiko) which is everybody’s favorite and the Sake Sashimi at PHP250, raw salmon that you need to dip in its special sauce to truly appreciate its flavor. For our noodle soup, we had the Ebi Tempura Shoyu Ramen at PHP437. Look how aesthetically pleasing this dish is especially the meat slices which are very juicy and tempting. Better eat this ramen upon serving to truly appreciate the complementing flavors and contrasting texture. For our mains, we had the Grilled Chicken Teriyaki at PHP170, Beef Teppanyaki at PHP380 and Mixed Seafood Teppanyaki at PHP400. The chicken was tender and teriyaki sauce was sweet, the US beef tasted like bacon paired with the crunchy and juicy mung bean sprouts while the seafood (shrimp, salmon and squid) was cooked and seasoned just right with ample portions all splashed with Mizu’s teppanyaki sauce. For our desserts, we had a scoop of home-made Green Tea Ice Cream at PHP85 which was not that sweet yet the subtle tea flavor was very addicting and the Tempura Ice Cream at PHP170 (deep-fried vanilla ice cream) which needs to be eaten immediately to achieve the desired salty, sweet, crispy and creamy combo. For the drinks, I had the Red Rapture Mocktail at PHP230 with its sour and sweet taste without the alcohol content.Price A typical meal for two would cost around PHP1,500. Take note that there is an additional 12% VAT charge and 10% service charge to be added to the final bill. kingofsinulog.wordpress.com
