My first time to dine in an exclusive Korean restaurant and it was a great starter experience. We ordered the Moksal and Sangyeopsal. The service is really fast and staffs are approachable too. When we get there, the place is fortunately not crowded and the ambiance is so neat and comfy. I love what we’ve got here, your P250 comes with variety of side dishes already and a pitcher of iced tea costs P90 only. And guys, piece of advice for those who are thrifty enough; you should buy the iced tea rather than the canned soda that costs P70. Ugh. Pricey. It’s already good for two to three persons ;)Overall, I love the food though I wanted to encounter more Korean restos to compare the best among the rest. Good thing I had a good experience here at SoMac. 🙂

Very affordable and they have promo 150 pesos meals every 11am-2pm. Paid 300 pesos only good for 2 persons which is 2 MEALS + 4 SIDE DISH (2x refill because 2 persons). Love the dilis and the kimchi! ❤They have new branch near IPI, Mabolo. However the 150 promo is only applicable for Ayala which is sort of Hidden Gem kay you might think it’s only for call center people but heyyy it’s for everyone!

One of the best Ramen that I’ve tasted so far was served only in SOmunnan MACchang! I was never in love at first of their ramen. As it looks like just the same with others, only with unlimited side dish and a bottle of iced tea. But wait ’till you taste it! Ramen-is-life game sooo strong!! cathyrain19.wordpress.com

A pefect place where you can satisfy your late night korean food cravings. I like how neat and spacious the place was and the staffs were cosistently accommodating. The things I liked most were the large chunks of meat, the unlimited side dishes with their irresistible kimchi, and their flavorful choices of soup to choose from. Prices of the food are affordable with generous amount of serving. I’d definitely be back here. 😉

What I find really satisfactory about this restaurant is the fact that they have generous servings. It can be expected from Filipinos to order the usual Samgyeopsal set. Here at SOMAC, one can enjoy the said Korean specialty at Php 250, with a greater volume of side dishes, and comes with TWO complimentary soups (the beef, and the spicy one, Kimchi-jigae perhaps?), not to mention the great quality of pork you get served with: not thinly made (compared to the other Korean restaurants in Cebu), wherein you can savor the meat and fat upon adding the Gochujang (Red-chili paste), then adding their decent-tasting Kimchi, and everything finally wrapped with some fresh and good-quality purple lettuce. We also tried their Korean Chicken, wherein we thought that ordering a whole one was just too much, so we instead requested for a HALF chicken. However we were surprised when the dish was served because it looked like it was a whole quantity of chicken in front of us. What amazed us more was how juicy, tasty, and tender the chicken parts were.We came on a Friday night, around 6-7pm, thus the place was really packed with a diverse clientele ranging from mostly Filipinos, then Koreans, and the Japanese. Most of the tables ordered Samgyeopsal sets so the floor was a bit greasy from all the pork on hot plates. SOMAC is well-lit and actually a bit bright, but I don’t really mind. On instances when the restaurant becomes full, expect the place to be a bit warm and noisy. Oh, and you’ll smell like Korean food upon leaving the place of course. As with the price, 3 sets of Samgyeopsal and a 1/2 Korean chicken set us back for a total of Php 1,100. This was a dinner for 3 people. The servers were very attentive and accommodating with our requests.

Authentic korean food for a good price! Good service – they even cook the meat for you. The meat is more than enough and they give 4 different sides, 2 kinds of soup and cabbage/lettuce leaves – all unlimited. Very conveniently located.

Would definitely recommend this place! Lots of delicious side dishes and the meat is just so savory. It was worth the money. An underrated yet satisfying restaurant with an accommodating staff.
