When we first came in the restaurant , I was astonished as no one bothered to welcome us . We even have to ask the menu for ourselves. They gave us their breakfast menu only and have to ask again for the other menu but then I ended up choosing the silog meal since I do not find their meals enticing enough and it’s quite pricy too.Unlike any other Japanese restaurants , Izakayi Goku serves a variety of silogs. Since I am fond of silogs I tried their Tocilog. I find their garlic rice too oily for my liking.We also ordered a Ramen and a katsudon. The katsudon does not taste as tasty as I expected to be. It is bland in taste and the Ramen is not that satisfactory either.I would prefer Joeds’ Ramen or Chowabongga’a Katsudon as it is tasty than Izakaya .I would say that it is not something that would keep me coming back. Nonetheless, I hope their service would gradually improve.

The ambiance is fine although the place is basically empty.I ordered the Shoyu Ramen which is not so great. It’s not as rich and tasty, the meat is not tender and the large amount of plants made it taste like that. The serving size is quite alright.The Salmon Sashimi is good though, it’s fresh and is a good size order.
I went here some time ago during lunch with my dad. It was a school day, by the way.I love Japanese food, so my dad let me eat at this place with him.Of course, the food was expensive. Japanese food is very pricey here in the Philippines, and probably most of other places.The ambiance was nice. It had a good set up.I don’t remember what we ordered, but what I do remember is not liking my food very much.Here’s the worst thing: the food took so long to be served that I ended up being late for school. Well, lunch break isn’t actually long and it’s impractical to eat at a restaurant. So, I also blame myself.
