A fine dining restaurant. Very good presentation. The steak melts in your mouth that’s why you need to pair it with a good wine. Appetizers are appealing. This restaurant is expensive too. Servers are couteous and friendly. Love the ambience.
My bf decided to take me here for our Valentine’s day dinner. He told me that ur restaurant is one of the best restaurants in cebu. So we gave it a go. We arrived there around 7:15pm since our scheduled reservation was 7:30pm. They accompanied us to our seats and asked for our orders. At around 8:20pm, our food hasn’t arrived yet so we asked every waiter (to be specific, there were 3 incldg the waiter that got our orders) that passed our table to please give us an update on our order. But no one informed us on the status of our order. By that time i was really hungry and upset. What frustrates me the most was all the other customers who arrived later than us already got their food. By 9pm we gave up and my bf just asked for the bill (bec our drinks were already served), paid and left. It was really disappointing, we were there to have a good time and to experience something new (seeing as this restaurant was all about “fine dining”) but instead we left the place with an empty stomach. I hope that you will improve your customer service. Yes, there were a lot of people today (what did u expect, it’s valentines day) but its no excuse to have messed up our order and say that the kitchen didn’t receive our order but the cashier did (?). You should have been prepared.
It is very rare for restaurants to get the service right by training the team in terms of food and drinks. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable and super helpful the wait team was. About the food, the table bread (3 flavors to choose from) was served in terracotta with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and tomato salsa. Really crusty and delicious. We had the Arugula salad, which came with an amazing dressing and crusty parmesan. One of the mains was whole wheat spaghetti with garlic shrimps, which I really enjoyed. The second main was the tenderloin with a side of potato wedges and season veggies. It came with the lemon butter sauce, which we felt could have been a bit ‘cooked’ (felt like raw butter was mixed with lemon). Overall, a very romantic and Italian setting with a beautiful wine cellar in view.
We were recommended Azani by our driver as the “best” restaurant in Cebu. It has nice ambiance and very polite staff. Something that you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. For the entree we ordered the 3 cheese pizza and wagu red wine gnocchi which were both nicely presented. They were both at an acceptable level nothing amazing. For mains we ordered wagu steak and the chicken breast. The chicken was sent back due to it being so under cooked that it was still bloody in the centre and the steak should have also been sent back but wasn’t because my wife felt so bad for them. She left half the steak behind as it was too rare despite it being a good quality meat. I have attached the picture of the so called “medium rare steak”.This restaurant is nice but not worth the price tag attached to it. You are better off walking 100 metres up the road to Marco Polo and having the all you can eat buffet.
