Ordered Kamikaze Balls & Backribs. Kamikaze balls were meaty and fully stuffed with prawn meat. Been eating in excellent restaurants and ofcourse i would know that the prawn in these kamikaze balls were frozen and not fresh. But it taste palatable and is alright. The backribs is good. Very tender and literally fell off the bone. Taste is not intense which is a good thing so i could still taste and enjoy the meat itself and i could smell that it’s truly charcoaled. The scent of the charcoal is left out on the meat which is nice. I would not say that this is the best ribs coz my palate has been constantly exposed to other outstanding ribs from different international restaurants but this one is okay. Service is good since patrons are paying for the service charge added to the bill. Well. For now, i’d give it 3-stars.

From the ambiance of the place, to the taste of the dish in your mouth, and with a great customer service, Bigby’s is one of the best restaurants here in Cebu.Just a little history, Bigby’s actually originated in Cagayan de Oro. This one in Ayala is the first branch here in Cebu. Since then, Bigby’s have become a big hit in Cebuano taste.They have a big, thick book for a menu, emphasizing how extensive it is. It is divided into five sections. The “Taste Teasers” is probably their appetizer section which includes Tijuana Quesadillas, Viva Las Gambas which is a shrimp based meal with flavorings, and the famous CDO Sinuglaw.They also have a few selections in their “Pasta” section such as Creole Pasta and Grilled Chicken Carbonara but most of these aren’t there best-sellers. Most diners seems to prefer their “Sandwiches” as most of the items are best-sellers.I’m not so sure what’s “Mom’s Corner” all about, but I once tried a meal on this section called, Passion Fish and it is a must try. I like how the fish meat somehow melts inside your mouth yet still retains the feel of its crisps. It comes with garlic mayo to compliment its flavors.Last but not the least is their famous “Home Style Grill” section which includes their famous Rack-a-bye Baby! It’s a finger-licking meal of premium cut barbecued pork ribs.Ambiance: 5/5Food: 5/5Service: 5/5
Well, well, well, by far, they got the most delish back ribs in Cebu. If you have a big appetite, they will not disappoint you! BTW, don’t miss their Soup of the Day, SUPERB!!! Even their place in Ayala is not that spacious, however, their Staff is really attentive and cordial.
Had dinner here with my family. Food was disappointing and service left a lot to be desired. This isn’t the same restaurant I used to love eating at growing up.
Place – 4/5 overall nice and cozy with collector’s items covering the walls. Space can be a little tight especially when the restaurant is fullService – 4/5 exemplary and the manager responded to the comment about the small serving they had for the ribs. A complimentary cake slice was given. I just wish they didn’t have to and instead fixed the serving sizes in the first placeTaste – 4/5 always my favorite for years now is their chix ahoy which is a serving of sizzling boneless chicken. Ribs were tasty and sauce was not overpoweringValue – 1/5 pricey for what you get. Ribs are more expensive and while the leading competition within the same mall serves 2 excellent rib racks per order under P300, Bigbys will give you literally only 2 rib bones for the price. A starter of squiggly rings that cost under P300 also literally had only 5 small rings and the kitchen got creative by adding potatoes and eggplant slices to make it look more.Bottomline – Premium pricing with small serving sizes that I can’t recommend. I’m unlikely to return unless things change. There are simply much better restaurants around
Good food and good customer service! Everyone was so polite and accomodating. Food was still hot when served and everything tasted good. We will come back for sure.
