Saffron Cafe used to have more varities of food to choose from before compared to when we visited recently, 3 days ago. Their breakfast buffet was nothing fancy considering the price. I hope they will add more viands or cuisine.
I was recently at Crimson Mactan for a two-day event and meals were usually held at the Saffron. The breakfasts were excellent: good variety particularly when it came to fresh yogurt and preserves to go with a nice array of fresh breads. The dinner buffet was also good and the spicy masala prawns and the seafood in saffron cream have become personal favourites.
We stayed at crimson for our past 2year anniv (not wedding lol) celebration. Then in Crimson they have 3-4 resto to choose (If i remember it right).and we’re happy we choose saffron cause its worth the price,nice ambiance & service.
I was not expecting much after the Azure experience but was really surprised when I tasted what Saffron has to offer. We had buffet dinner and I would say that it was giod. The food selection is just right. Bot so many that makes you feel overwhelmed and not so limited that makes you want more. It offers international cuisine that also features gril bar where you can order seafoods to your hearts content. Love the fresh grilled shrimps! It was worth the itch and the dose of Alerta.
The food was okay and a little bit expensive for its quantity.We ordered the chicken and beef sate which was bland to my tasting and the grilled skewed shrimps which was good but not the best i have had.
We ordered the delicious shrimp skewers with garlic rice and beef skewers. The beef was soft and succulent and the prawns beautifully cooked with a juicy but tender crunch. The prices were a little on the high side which is normal for hotels. Overall yummy and service prompt and efficient!The food here was superior quality with great tasting flavours.
