This would probably be the cheapest but most decent, Japanese buffet in Cebu that I know of (after Mikado closed). The number one thing I love eating is the shrimp tempura but it’s not always consistently good. There are times it’s cooked fresh, other times, it’s almost stale. Their sushi selection is the same. As for their dessert, they need a lot of improvement. There wasn’t one thing from the dessert bar that we could finish because they were either too sweet or not at all. The balance was just off. Even their halo-halo station. It’s either they didn’t display all the ingredients or they think halo-halo is just made up of ice, milk, sugar, 4 different types of nata, red beans, cereal toppings, and coconut strips drenched in syrup. We didn’t bother anymore with the grill because the last time we did, it was too difficult to cook it properly because the food stuck on the plate and we couldn’t really adjust the fire without calling a waiter’s attention (which took time, despite how many they were versus the ratio of customers at that time). Overall, I’d say I would skip the Japanese buffet if I want quality food and just go for the restaurants that sell the authentic Japanese dishes.
