I have eaten here twice (can’t find the bento photo) and have loved it. They much affordable than other Jap resto here in Mactan. The ramen is good for P150 but there are more expensive options as well.
I give stars according to what you get for your money. We are so often in this restaurant because we stay in Mactan area if we come to Cebu (surely more than 30times), they know our face already. 250p for Bento is really ‘good price’ for Japanese food. The Sashimi is very fresh too. We tried many dishes and so far no complain at all. The restaurant is mostly known by Japanese and people living around this area. You hardly find tourist eating in this restaurant. But we really can recommend every one to have lunch or dinner here.The staffs are very nice too. Mostly no tourist here, just Japanese living in Mactan area or people who know this restaurant like us. We can recommend every one to try here. The cheapest Bento cost only 250p without tax, incl. Miso soup, tea and ice coffee as dessert. In other Japanese restaurant, we pay more 1-2k for two persons. The Bento is nice and the size is ok for not big eater like us. You can get Sashimi with fresh fish under 500p
I have been in Daruma Japanese restaurant twice. And this is one of my favorite places in cebu to have an auhentic japanese experience. If you are a person who loves mangga’s or japanese anime, they have a collection of japanese mangga’s you can browse through while waiting for your food. The staff is very accomodating and friendly. The food really tastes good. I do think that i’ve tasted one of the best california maki in cebu here. One problem though is the parking place. They have limited slots in front of the restaurant for parking. But i guess, you could just park your car inside the mall across.
