Review is for Providore in Summit Galleria Cebu.First off, the ambience is good. We dined in on a Saturday, and only 3 tables were occupied (already a warning sign.) Service is relatively ok, as to be expected for the small number of customers. Comfort room is also clean. Now, unto the food itself. I ordered the Grilled Pepper and Herb Butter US Beef Belly. SUPER OILY. The dish is worth PhP 550, and you basically get 30% meat, 70% PURE FAT. I know it’s belly, but couldn’t the chef at least trim it down a bit? It also lacks acidity to cut down the richness. Side dish is also mashed potatoes, which is swimming in fat.We also ordered the Butcher’s Best pizza. Good crust, average and sparse toppings. For drinks, their Calamansi Lychee drink and Providore Punch are quite good, but not worth the hefty price.I probably wouldn’t come back. If I’ll pay that much money to eat out, I expect to be blown away. And clearly, Providore fails to deliver. If you are looking for that rustic bistro experience, I suggest Oh George! or Brique instead.
Prices are a bit high but serving size is hefty. I got the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish it but it was really good. Skin was very, very crispy; the meat was juicy. Their mashed potatoes does not taste like the usual that we get served in restaurants. They have their own spin to it. Service was great! Will definitely be back.
I really love the ambience and their food. Pricey but really worth it. They also have this section where they sell locally made goods and souvenirs. All from Cebu.
I love the ambiance and how they take my favorite ensaymada fusion with cheesy purple yam! This will deffinitely be my favorite place to hang out and catch some cravings!
Breakfast buffet – nothing too special with the served food and could use more selection. However, food was tasty and the price was to beat. Highlight: place is great and the service excellent
Ambience is great. Interiors are modern and artsy. Their food fusions are amazing. Their take on traditional Filipino dishes are well executed! A delightful experience overall. The servers are courteuos and attentive though some may need a little more knowledge or familiarity of the food they offer (when asked about the type of rice available, the server did not know right away and had to go back to the kitchen for a simple question).
We got the roasted turkey club which was good and had pretty decent serving size (good to share) and the bacon carbonara. It’s a bit pricey than expected but was worth a try. Staff were very quick and attentive.
