One of the best if not the best cake shop were you can dine in for slices of their cakes.Food: 5/5Every time we visit a cake or coffee shop we really try their Blueberry Cheesecake. Before we enter the shop we are decided to order their Blueberry Cheesecake and the moment we tasted it, wow! The best Blueberry Cheesecake i’ve tasted so far. The flavor of the blueberry is very rich and the cheesecake is very good. The other cake we tried is their DEEP DARK CLASSIC. This one is a winner. The dark chocolate is very very rich in both the cake and the icing in between and the top part. Highly recommended for chocolate lovers like me.Service: 4/5Service is fast since we are the only customers at the time we dine-inAmbiance: 3/5The place is clean and very silent. It’s awkward to talk since everyone in the branch can hear you because of the silence. Maybe they can add music to break that silence
I’m a dark chocolate and cake lover and discovering this place is like discovering a treasure box full of gem! I tried their Death by Tablea for the first time I tried them and man, it is so heavenly good. My current favorite is their Deep Dark Chocolate Cake, my boyfriend surprised me a whole box of it and I could eat it all day without getting tired of it. Their cakes are not like those other typical bakeshops we know, the sweetness and bitterness go hand in hand. I really love it!
Their chocolate cakes are great especially the Death by Tablea, but their red velvet cake is quite disappointing. The cake itself is good. It’s moist and has the real red velvet taste to it. However, the frosting was just extremely sweet. Considering I’m someone who has a sweet tooth, but their frosting was just too much for me. It lacked the usual tangy cream cheese taste to balance out the sweetness. The only way for me to be able to eat it was by scraping of literally all the frosting from the cake, as in from the outside to those in between the layers. I was left with a bare red velvet cake, which I would prefer anytime rather than me eating all that frosting. I hope they can improve this somehow.
Limited to Sugar Free (SF) sweets, one nitpicks quality. Chocolat delivered with its SF Chocolate Mousse Cake.Unboxing was pleasurable–pristine peaks over airy mousse, floating on a dark bed of sinfully moist cake. Carving out a firmly chilled slice released a subtle sweetness. Forkfuls lifted layers of chocolatey goodness.
Love their chocalate cakes! Favorite is their Kahlua and Hazelnut variant. Their red velvet is also delicious and their carrot cake is one of the best I’ve had! They also offer chocolate flavored carrot cake and it’s also good (personal preference though is the plain carrot cake). This is one of my go-to places when buying cakes! ❤
I recommend the hot chocolate, a good place to relax for some good cakes and a warm cup hot chocolate. Definitely a place to stop by if you’re in the San Juan area.
This place is already an institution known for its Death by Tablea, its best selling chocolate cake with bittersweet icing, native cacao and condensed milk. However, other cakes are also good. Must-try’s include: Tablea Cheesecake, Chocolate Carrot Cake and Chocolate Hazelnut.
