The secretive ambiance of Thirsty Barber is now a trend for most bars. They’re either double purpose or have secret hideouts where only some people discover which have a sense of the place being special and new. They serve great food aside from reasonable priced booze like, Beef Sliders, Labuyo Wings and Five-Spice fried chicken and the ever famous Chicharon Bulaklak. Musts!

Thirsty barber is a beautiful setup where the area is utilized as a barbershop during the day then a restobar at night. The respective areas do not particularly intersect but the interaction is definitely present with the door to the restobar semi-hidden at the back of a classy barbershop. Jameson shots on the rocks for me and tried their salted egg calamari. snapsnstories.blogspot.com

Good place to have a few drinks with friends. Staff is very friendly and food and drinks are affordable. It can get packed on weekends, so if you’re not into tight spaces, drop by on a weekday.

Found my new go to place to de stress. The price of their drinks are affordable. I love the design plus the jazz band they have. Unfortunately, food serving is small and the service is kind of poor. But would still recommend this place especially to the people who lives in San Juan and Mandaluyong area.

We used to love their chicken skin until they changed their recipe. Whereas before it was just fried, now it is breaded and it is not good. We tried requesting if they can cook our order just like how they used to but said they cant anymore. Oh well. The chicharon bulaklak is a hit and miss also.

What I really liked:1. Really good music – great for 90s babies like myself 2. I also really liked the fact that they’re smoke free3. The nachos was really good. I heard their siomai is fantastic too (haha so Chinese?!?)4. Servers were very responsive, from topping up my water regularly and cleaning up the bathroom when it was messy

Their staff are very accommodating and friendly. I like the concept of speakeasy bars. Who would’ve thought to find one at the back of a barber shop? We ordered cocktails: Amaretto sour, Mojito, Margarita. It was relatively good and priced according to it’s satisfactory taste.
