Been here a few times, usually on busy days when they’re crowded, but the service and food quality never disappoint. Very attentive and friendly service. Reasonably priced. Above all, the food quality is excellent, it could be a bit of a wait when they’re crowded, but it’s worth it.

The food was delicious. Poor service. We were waiting for 30 minutes then one by one our orders were coming. We were hungry that time. We were almost finished eating but 2 of our orders were not yet served. Then we followed-up two of our orders, only to find out, it was not coming because the staff (Mr. Allan) didn’t hear our orders.

Let’s start from the dessert: buko pandan (personal fav, different interpretation yet so good), ginataang bilo-bilo (creamy, good dessert, can be fulfilling), campeon turon (fried banana, good one). Sinang con laing, gabi leaves with coconut cream, surprisingly good. Pork sisig was real crowd pleaser, my personal fav as well. The squid was also good one. We also tried their lechon, it was good with the condiments. Grilled fish as well as the fish soup was all good in flavour. Nice dinner indeed.more on my blog: tempemendoan.blog/2019/01/25/crisostomo/

I now realize that Crab Fat Rice and Sinigang DO NOT mix! They’re actually both very “malinamnam” (tasty) that they fight off each other’s “timpla” (mixture). Both of them are actually very salty and requires a plain dish with it. So the Snail in Coconut sauce and Squid in Olive Oil pairs off well with the Rice. Not only because all of the three are seafood based but because the saltiness of the rice doesn’t overwhelm the two dishes. Sinigang Burgos may be the outlier but I think it is best served with hot, steaming plain rice. Not only because of the sour flavor but also because the soup is very salty. I recommend that they lessen the broth if they are using any. The Crab Fat Rice was a little subtle before with the same amount of Crab fat and I sure hope they maintain the same rice as when I first ate it. Hope to eat the same rice soon and pairing it without Sinigang. The Snail in Coconut Sauce was fun to eat, ‘cause as you know, we remove it from the shell with a toothpick. The taste was simple and very nice because the coconut purée is best scooped with the snail. I’ve always eaten Tarsilo Squid. Seems to serve As an appetizer but, good as viand too and can be considered as a main course. For the first appetizer they served us with Cornicks. (Crunchy Corn Snacks), it was a tad bit salty. We were offered Roasted Cashew Nuts but when we tried it, it wasn’t really up to par with the Cashew Nuts we like. There’s a specificity of taste when it comes to nuts so I would have preferred to buy their Banana Chips instead.

One of the best Filipino restaurants in PH! It can be pricey if you’re dining in big groups but the food is irresistibly delicious! You have to try their dinuguan, cervantes (bihon) and their De Los Santos Sinugba! Extra rice pls hehe!

I was a bit hesitant to try crisostomo as I’ve always thought their dishes are almost similar taste-wise to elias, but I was wrong. Crisostomo is way way better than the latter. A friend had chosen this place for our lunch meet up and we ordered the ff:Bagoong rice – their signature rice according to their server and indeed it was. Bagoong was more of the sweet side which complemented well with the rice and other ingredients. I was on a no-rice diet and decided to just have a bite to taste but ended up eating majority of the share. Two thumbs up and one should really try this out.Aligue rice – another amazing dish. We ordered this as we thought an order of tjeir rice was only good for two but in reality is already good for 3 to 4. I also liked this but I’ll go for the bagoong rice if I had to choose one.Fried Fish – looks ordinary as it’s a common and simple dish as it’s just a fried one but i was surprised that they cooked this well. Crunchy but juicy. Outstanding for a fried fish.Bagumbayab lechon – crispy thin layer of lechon almost similar to bagnet with chips. I love this! The thin slices of pork were consistent and crunchy. It wasn’t oily too and not too fatty which doesn’t make you feel guilty of eating more of this fantastic dish. Callos – another fantastic dish. Their sauce was really wonderful. I can’t put it in words but this is a must order as well.Overall was very pleased with our orders and impressed.

So far the best Filipino restaurant for me but I rarely eat out for Filipino cuisine. The menu is extensive and the various iced tea flavor excited me! I chose the Tamarind Iced Tea and it was refreshing.Their Leandro (laing with lechon kawali) was my favorite! It was spicy with the right sweetness from the gata and creamy consistency. The Sisig Linares paired well with it also. The Paella Filipino was flavorful and rich with meat and seafood. The Bella Bandida (bangus bistek) was a bit sour for my mother and aunt’s liking but I thought it was okay. Salome’s Secret (inihaw na pusit) was soft and tasty. Our visit was welcomed by friendly and accommodating staff and a truly Filipino and homey interiors. I love that their dishes are named after provinces and Filipino names! This is a good option if you’d like to introduce Filipino food to foreigners or to bring your OFW relatives to. We all enjoyed our meal and actually preferred this over a super pricey Filipino restaurant way up in Tagaytay.
