Average food but poor service. Bad experience started while server was getting our order he had a paper but no pen so he was having a hard time memorizing an repeating our order. Then the drinks came we ordered for 1 coke light and 1 royal but when he gave us the drinks it was Sprite and Royal,we immediately told him the other one was Coke Light we were surprised that the drink he got was Royal and left Sprite in our table. We didn’t bother correcting him again as we did not want to spoil our night. And lastly, we billed out and he gave us the wrong bill it was frustrating because he was the one who got our order and though he looked at it it didn’t see he knew what we ordered and which table to give it.

The beef niku udon has good broth, but not much cabbage and baby bokchoi. Wish there were more veggies in the soup. Pork katsu with curry and rice was slightly dry, and difficult to swallow without beer or water as a chaser. Otherwise, good first impression. Table napkins are of good quality and size – they don’t rip immediately.

This is one of the packed places in Newport so when we saw that there’s a vacant table, we decided to dine here.Crunchy Tuna Roll (Php 248)Their tuna roll was just okay – not super delicious but it was not that bad also.Tendon (Php 328)The ebi tempura was a little dry for me. I think most of the flavor is on the rice already because it was super saucy. One thing I suggest for improvement is their service. It took almost an hour for them to serve our orders. Since we’re also seated outside the restaurant, it was hard to do follow ups because I think there is only 1-2 servers. I wonder why because our visit was peak hours (during weekend dinner time).

Place is just near the casino area so we went for quick bite last night.I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and he ordered the Katsudon (Chicken) with an All Meat rice bowl. The Ramen is okay, not the best around but it’s fair. The noodles is cooked just right too. Not too soggy and not under cooked. The toppings seem not to be generous too.His Katsudon was good when I tasted it. The egg and cheese compliment the chicken well. The sauce in it is good too.The Service needs improvement. Most of the time there is no waiter or staff inside. Had to wait several minutes to see one pass by. But the staff is friendly when approach. The ambiance is interesting, it was a mix of Euro Japanese in the ceiling. It can be confusing to some so it won’t be for everyone’s taste. We are so hungry that we forgot to take pic before eating.Food:3/5Ambience:4/5Service:2/5

We ordered the truffle ramen, spicy tuna maki, spicy tuna salad, and tofu steak. The truffle was just ok, there was a hint of truffle but not very noticeable, the salad was very good and the maki was good but not the best, I was a bit disappointed with the tofu steak, it tasted salty(couldve been better if there was a little sweetness) it was literally tofu steak as it had some cuts of steak in it.Overall its average, it could be better, specially since the japanese restaurant scene here in the philippines is getting more competitive.

Just your typical Japanese food place. Ambiance was nice and the place was clean. Their staff wasn’t fantastic and food was just ok. Unfortunately, our group didn’t find anything particularly remarkable with the place. They do accept American Express.

First time to try Mr. Kurosawa in Newport, despite the resto being there for a long time already. The menu is similar (if not the same) with Sumosam. We got crunchy maki, tofu chopchop (my Sumosam fave!), salmon wasabi and fried rice!
