Disappointing for being a resto at a supposed 6-star hotel. Buffet food is typical at best. Few selections yet quality is missing. Sushi is 90% rice, bland chicken wings, leathery pizza. Other items are simply forgettable. First batch of roast beef was fat-ridden and tough and after they were called out by one of my companions, the next ones which were chuck cut improved but you need to season it yourself otherwise it was tasteless. Carbonara which you need to order would have been good given the sauce had just the right amount of creaminess if the noodles were cooked al dente. The pansit bihon was filling tho but not enough to save our dining experience. Nonetheless i was glad to have found a chocolate mousse cake in bite size portion which was decadently delicious with its balanced sweetness and bitter undertones. Service except for the gracious female attendant at the dessert station was as dull as majority of their food. The place was spacious and takes full advantage of natural lighting with the pure glass windows that provide a pool view. Their furniture tho looks a bit worn out and tables were not properly set up, def unworthy by hotel standards.
We had the buffet which was rather boring, not a good selection of food, food had also not a good taste. The beef was so hard that you could not even cut it.
We eat here often as my aunt has a platinum card that allows her to eat here and bring a few companions. Theres a limited selection considering its a hotel restaurant. Because we dine here for free, its better than ok. #freengaeh But if you’re checked in, this isnt much of a spread compared to other hotel buffets. Meals come with unlimited drinks too.
For the price youre paying their is only a limited choice of food. The selections of bread was rich but the viands were only up to 10 dishes. I could and would understand if the reason for their limited selections is due to a really tasty menu. The place was also dim that it can alleviate your appetite.
Had lunch here when we stayed at Maxims. I was surprised at how simple the restaurant looked – I mean, I was expecting it to be fancy like the hotel. The buffet spread was limited too, there’s no Japanese food station. But they got Filipino dishes and pastas. They also have soup, breads and pastries. The pastas are made upon request – I had carbonara. It was good but it got too heavy and nakakaumay so I didn’t get to finish it. I like their food although nothing really stood out for me. But it was satisfying and worth it.
Had buffet dinner at The Terrace around twice already. Most of the cuisine are Filipino and Asian dishes like Sisig, Pasta, several Sushi, salad and desserts. My favorite is pasta and desserts, had 2 or 3 rounds.
They have nice interiors especially their bar. We went here last year and that time I was not really impressed with the food coz it tasted ordinary but last month we went again and I admit that their food were more appetizing than last time. I liked their pesto pasta and soup. foodyhaven.blogspot.com
