Dined at this place a week ago and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Beef tenderloin was really tender and black pepper sauce was flavorful. The eggplant with minced pork was yummy. Their noodles however were too oily. The hainanese chicken was superb. The kingdao spareribs, yangchow fried rice, salt and pepper squid were cooked perfectly. Friendly staff and thanks to the owner for the complementary desserts. Yummy masachi with white chocolate and buchi. Highly recommended. Would have given a 5 star rating if not for the oily noodles and some dishes that we wanted to order but were not available. Will be back to other dishes on the menu.
This is one of my favorite chinese restaurant because it is affordable and they also serve authentic chinese dishes. My favorite dish is their duck because I really don’t eat duck but after tasting their version, I can say that it is really a Must try !
I clearly remember that I had a flight that day at NAIA 3 when Zomato invited me to Mei Wei Chinese Kitchen, which is very timely because it was few minutes away to the airport and I was starving due to my morning errands. Mei Wei is one of those Chinese comfort food restaurants that we Filipinos always look for. And knowing me, of course I was way too excited to try their dimsum, the Hakaw to be particular. Everything is pretty much good though I would suggest to serve the Roasted Duck without the head because it’s a bit unappetizing. That’s just my point and don’t get me wrong, their Roasted Duck is a MUST try! We were seated with the owner and I love the fact that he is aware of everything with regards to his restaurant. It kinda proves that he is hands on with his business and taking things seriously. He was also open to some of our suggestions. My favorite picks aside from the Hakaw are the Shrimp Tempura, Spinach and Seafood Soup and the Yang Chow Fried Rice. Product: We were served some of their best dishes like the Yangchow Fried Rice, Hakaw, Spinach Seafood Soup, and Sizzling Tenderloin. And we were also served new dishes which weren’t on the menu yet. And of course dessert! Mango Sago and Masachi with White Chocolate Sauce.Needless to say, not a dish served in front of us, disappointed me. Every platter has its own taste that really makes you want for more. The dimsums were so good, you’ll almost feel like you’re in China eating in a local restaurant. One that stood out the most for me is the Shrimp wrapped in noodles. It’s another take on tempura without losing the taste that a shrimp gives with the flavor of the noodles they mixed so well. The spinach soup will surprise you with how delicious it is. Enough to satisfy your appetite while waiting for the other dishes. Their take on Chinese food with an affordable price and delicious food will make your visit worth it! It may not be accessible to many but I still suggest going there just for the sake of it! The desserts will make you so happy! Even though I already ordered mango juice, which tastes the same as the Mango Sago, it still had sago and mango tidbits that’s very pleasing to it. The Masachi overwhelms you with a peanut flavor and surprises you with that rich white chocolate taste once you chew it. Venue: Like I said, the place isn’t so accessible to a lot of people- but the visit will be so much worth it. The best part is that the restaurant is a part of a hotel. So if you’re looking for a place to stay, and a place to eat at without having to exhaust yourself. This is the place for you. Comfort yourself with good food and a nice play to stay at! The servers were very attentive. They clean your table as soon as the next entree is served. You should give it a try! It will be worth your time.
Tried this hidden gem of mixed asian cuisines located near NAIA Terminal 3. Overall, I love the experience here. The price is right and their food are all delicious. I am glad that there is a place where can we stay for a while before going to the airport. One downside of this place is their space. Its too small and cannot accomodate all the people who wants to dine in. There are even other people waiting outside. This also speaks about the taste of the dishes. For people to patiently wait means it really is something. If you have your own car you are lucky. They have plenty of free parking space.Top picks:1. Salt and Pepper spare ribs.2. Siopao (both asado and bola bola)3. Drinks (Iced Vietnamese Coffee and Banana Apple shake)4. All their desserts.I will definitely go back here. 🙂 foodguideph.com
Mei Wei is located at the corner of Aurora Blvd. and Andrews, just right beside Asiatel Airport Hotel. Been on operation for more than a year now, the place has become a hotspot for employees and tenants who are in search of good food. I became a witness on how the place got swarmed by customers upon lunchtime and everybody was enjoying their meals.I am very much sold to their Yang Chow Fried Rice and Salt and Pepper Spareribs. Both are well seasoned that could satisfy my tummy anytime. The roasted duck is a nice treat as well. The best part of it is the no fuss preparation if you decided to take it home for a meal. You just heat it and that’s it! The dimsum is on point as well. The siopao asado is something that I’ll crave on from time to time. A very nice snack anyday.
