September 21, 2018 I picked up a hungry Puppycat from her after school activity. There was still no food at home since I was running errands the whole day so we decided to try out Phillypinas. We had the following:Nachos – I’m pretty sure I know what nachos they use, it’s the Bambi ones that are sour cream. No complaints, we love those and I always buy 2 packs of that when I do the groceries at cash and carry. They took it up another level by adding the cheese and meat sauce. This is only ok because of those nachos. What’s sad about that is they had nothing to do with it being palatable. If they bought a different brand of nachos this would have been a failed dish.Original Cheese steak – Puppycat had this and she said it was a tad spicy. She said the meat was flavorful. It wasn’t that tender but it also wasn’t tough.Watermelon Squeeze – tasted like the real fruit.Poutine – meh nothing remarkable. There was hardly any gravy and it was just all melted cheese on top. Our order looks so depressing compared to how it looks like in their menu.Buffalo Chicken Wings – another meh and nothing remarkable. The sauce was tangy and it tasted mostly of ketchup. I finished it though because as usual I hate to waste food and money. Also, where are the carrots and cucumber spears? The sauce they put with this is laughable, it was so incredibly bad it’s funny.The nachos, cheese steak sandwich and watermelon squeeze were so so but the rest were not good. I also hate it so much when the food we get is so far from how they advertise it in pictures. This happened with the Poutine and the chicken wings. All of our orders totalled 770 pesos. They’re getting a 2 from me because the amount they’re charging is not at par to the quality of food that we got. I mean for 700 we probably would’ve gotten a better meal from Jollibee or McDonald’s.The staff were pretty nice that’s why I’m so sorry for giving them a low rating. But the terrible food though hence the 2.
