Everyone in my family liked their yang chow fried rice and fried dumplings. As for the hot pot soup, we usually get the plain and satay, with the pot separated into halves. Staple hot pot ingredients include the cheese balls, seafood balls, watercress, polonchay, corn, sliced fish, sliced chicken, and sliced beef. The place feels quite old but the food is affordable and staff are attentive. Highly recommended 🙂

My officemates (and other group of friends also) and I always bond over shabu-shabu and grills. We’ve been to golden king, yakimix, tong yang, king one and some korean restaurants. My other officemate recommended to have our lunch here since he’s a regular customer. Typical shabu-shabu but the satay soup is really comparable to the others, really tasty. The fried dumplings was good also.

One of the best under rated restaurants in Manila. ❤ Especially the beef, cheese balls and the crab roe balls!!! Order the sate soup as a broth base and enjoy!

It’s the third time i ate here, alwAys satisfied, hotpot soup here is so good, mala tang n Chinese medicine soup is our favorite. The portion per plate is generous, price also acceptable.

This place is shabu-shabu heaven. Probably the best sate soup base among all shabu-shabu places in the metro. Their other dishes won’t disappoint you too!

Lau Chan offers up a big serving of gastronostalgia. It’s one of those places that seem to have actively resisted evolution. Not that it’s a bad thing! It’s actually part of its charm. Even their customer service retains the warmth and attentiveness of old. Hot pot is good too. Perfect for rainy nights! As far as I could tell, the ingredients are fresh and portion size generous.

Dinining at Lau Chan is somewhat a trip down memory lane. The feel of the restaurant throws you back to the 80s, especially the décor and fixtures. On a rainy day, getting the hotpot is a great choice – it can be customized to your liking. They also serve meals ala carte. The service is commendable, they are prompt and courteous.
