The Royale Sharksfin Seafood Restaurant is just starting to gain attention from locals wherein they chose this place for events and celebration gatherings. They serve quality and authentic Chinese cuisines. The only problem is that they do not offer decent parking spaces. You may need to park your vehicle on the street at your own risk.
Best chinese food. But food was little expensive. My favorite dish there is the Lechon Macau because it’s so juicy and delicious. The place is good ambiance and the food service was also fast. I also like the dessert that they are offering. The dessert is the almond and it’s great for your body too.
This place is among my top 5 pan-to style chinese restos. Trust the aunties in their recommendations, they make these really yummy twists to classic chinese dishes that you typically have. Top tip: order the steamed pampano instead of the steamed lapu. not sure if other chinese restos serve steamed pampano, but their’s is so good. Also if you’re gonna order lapu, ask them to prepare it two ways, one is where they use the head to make soup (its super yum and not malansa), and the other is where they fillet the body and steam it with some leeks, garlic, and soy.
Don’t go here and order dimsum. It’s expensive and you’ll be better off at nearby Wai Ying or their sister resto Golden Fortune. If you prefer a quiet and elegant Chinese resto then you’ve come to the right place. You won’t feel harassed by the noise here as the place is not fully booked always but the food is unique, great and presented well. I usually order the set menu here. Their Peking Duck is good although not cut as elegantly and skillfully as Peking Garden. Done two ways with the second one cooked in a stew with kalabasa or refried with garlic. Don’t miss the steamed Pinsutan giant clams steamed and served with garlic and vermicelli. Love, love, love the place only if they improve their parking. kainmanila.blogspot.com
It’s been a while since I last visited Binondo. There were so many good dishes served that day, but my favorites where the Roasted Eel with Honey and the Fried Chicken Steak. facebook.com
Thanks to 2 of my fellow food crawlers for their birthday treat! We had so much food, but here are those that stood out for me:Seafood Misua Guisado – their version of pancit, which was really tasty and had a nice mix of different textures, including the crunch of peanuts!Steamed Fish Fillet with Garlic – when they say garlic, they really mean it as this came with a separate container of minced garlic, which I generously added to my fish! Abalone Fried Rice in Stone Pot – this could be eaten on its own! It’s like seafood paella, but doesn’t have a fishy taste or smell.Fried Chicken Steak in Teriyaki Sauce – if you’ve been following my reviews, you already know that I am not a huge fan of teriyaki, but I’ll gladly make this an exception! Actually, I didn’t notice the teriyaki sauce as the chicken itself was already quite good! Golden Egg Pao – if saltiness and sweetness were to marry, then this egg pao is their union! Can be both a snack and dessert! What I didn’t like:Fried radish cake – never liked this, never will! Radish is meant for savory food, not as a sweet dish.Spare ribs – basically, boiled only, so meh. What could be improved:Seafood Pumpkin Soup – lacks salt and pepper, but quite chunky!Australian Lamb Chops in Black Pepper Sauce – more pepper, less sugar, please! Honey-glazed Eel – the candy sprinkles were unnecessaryWould I go back here? Maybe, but not on my own or any time soon. youtube.com
Royale Sharksfin is located beside the Eng Bee Tin along Quintin Paredes. It is at the second floor of the Park Center Bldg.?, you’ll see a gold font with a purple background that says Royale. It is the same owner as the popular shabu-shabu Golden Fortune along Soler. We arrived there lunch on a black saturday. Everything was not yet prepared, even the function room. It seems like they just opened or the people was still in vacay mode. So we sat and tried to order different kind of dimsums, most of the dimsums we ordered was out of stock. So, I just told the manager what else do you have, so that we can order.Yang Chow Fried Rice. Stir fried rice with some chorizos and vegetables with raw egg to color it yellow. The fried rice wasn’t the best i’ve had, it was just normal.3 Vegetable Stir Fry (not in the menu). Sauteed asparagus, spinach, and broccoli in garlic. The vegetables was fresh and crunchy. Its a play of different shades of green pand the texture of the veggies. It was a perfect accompaniment for the yang chow.Dimsums:SpareribsSiomaiAbalone SiomaiBeef BallChicken FeetThe food was abit overpriced for the food served. Their dimsums was priced at P150 up, then with an all day 50% discount, the price is still expensive compared to the famed dimsum restaurants in Banawe, even without the discount sale. The abalone siomai was a disappointment, for an extra cost, it was just pork siomai that is topped (literally) with a tiny piece of abalone. It wasn’t even incorporated in the siomai, so it wasn’t sticking to anything.Royale Sharksfin maybe new, but from the established operation of Golden Fortune, they should be alot better in terms of operation and food quality. Learning from the past mistakes is nothing, if you don’t improve on it.#TheFoodCrawlers #OngsFoodprints
