The food is good. I loved the miso and corn ramen, the soup/ broth was delicious. I wish the noodles were a little harder but otherwise the flavors were just great. Their tempura is a little expensive for the size. I got 3 pieces and they were itty bitty. They have the option to take out so if you’re in a hurry or don’t want to eat in the restaurant (it’s a little cramped) you can order, wait for it, and go.

Finally, a decent ramen in QC’s food district with much plus plus plus on kind and courteous servers. For some reasons, the ambience/interiors may not be as appealing to me (but it’s not bad though; just not my type because it’s too dim/dark). But the food! The ramen! All the elements of their ramen to me are five stars. The aji tamago was cooked the way how it should be cooked; jiggly, tasty, with that vibrant yolk color. The broth is anything but mediocre; the dark roasted oil in contrast to that light broth makes you think of cold rainy days on a hot summer night. The noodles are simply divine, while the chashu, which I actually wasn’t expecting anything decent from sealed the entire package with a loud bang. Thick slice, tender, and I got a very good part I guess because of the ‘marbling’ of fat and meat. For their price, this is really such a good win. And also, of all the ramen shops I have been on Maginhwa and Malingap, they have the NICEST service. If I am to say what they need to improve at, that would be their air conditioning because I was sweating like a pig in my seat. Good thing my bowl of ramen is too good for me to complain, but I would have enjoyed it more if only I am not sweating excessively. Haha. Still, a definite must try for all ramen lovers out there.

I was told that The Ramen here is comparable to Yushoken or Mendokoro, After having experienced it myself I can say that it’s almost but not quite (I’m confusing you I know), let me explain. The broth is almost there in terms of richness and consistency. The noodles a little soggy for my liking, the grilled pork was right on the money. What’s good though is that in terms of price it’s relatively cheaper than Yushoken or Mendokoro which gives you good value for your money. I would’ve rated them a 3.5, but I’m still trying to figure that out in the new version of the app. gastrofreak22.blogspot.com

Tried their Tonkotsu and Shoyu Ramen. Their Tonkontsu ramen was okay, but as I finished my bowl, the broth became too ‘nakakaumay’ for me. Broth was too creamy and could use more umami flavor. Shoyu Ramen was okay as well but was too salty according to my bf. Although the broth of their ramen didn’t warrant an excellent rating, their Chasu did! It was good and very juicy.Ordered the 6 pc Gyoza too, each piece was huge! It was super flavorful as well and the presentation was eye-pleasing.The servers were nice and very helpful. Their bathroom didn’t have water though.

As a ramen lover, I’ve been wanting to try this new ramen resto just less than 1km away from home. So last week, before going home, I decided to treat myself. I’ve read good reviews about their tonkotsu ramen so that was what I ordered. Sadly, theirs did not meet my expectations. 1. I think price is a little high. You can get 180-280 ramen from other established ramen restos. When they opened, price was 290 but when I visited last week, it jumped to 310. Perhaps due to good reviews? Tantanmen which I would like to give a try sana, is 350. So mahal. 2. Taste-wise, okay. Malinamnam at masarap. But I was looking for more. Soup wasn’t that rich and thick so I’m guessing na yung nalalasan ko was saltiness and too much pepper. But I loved the noodles – not saggy, not too firm. As for the meat, it was too “melt in your mouth” for me. Ang lambot masyado na hindi mo na sya ma-chew. I don’t eat fat kaya it was difficult for me to separate the laman from the taba. The egg was weird. Parang mejo maasim na sya. I wanted to call out the server para mapalitan pero nasa bibig ko na sya so I decided to let it go. 3. Ang bilis lumamig ng soup. It is summertime and the place wasn’t really cold so I got a little disappointed na mabilis syang lumamig. I’m guessing it was because nga hindi kasi rich ang broth kaya ganun, or it has something to do with their bowl? I don’t know but I’ve eaten ramen sa Japan and despite the 8-10 degrees temp, I enjoyed my ramen hot til the last drop. 4. Wala silang service water. I believe it’s the least resto owners could do to help lessen plastic use and allow a comfortable experience.
