Open Kitchen opened their newest food park concept recently at Rockwell Sheridan in Mandaluyong. It houses more than 20 food stalls, offering a stretch of food choices. One of these is a Chinese stop offering dimsum, rice toppings, and mini hotpot. They aptly call themselves Steam & Boil. Our team got a simple version of hotpot with loads of balls (meatballs + squidballs) plus veggies. It was fitting for the rainy weather. We accompanied this order with single servings of classic Chicken Feet, Shrimp Dumpling, and my favorite, Tofu Skin! If you are looking for Chinese fix on a budget, you can consider Steam & Boil. alwayshungry.ph
The hakaw tastes horrible. I could the hardly taste the shrimp because it was such a tiny morsel. As for the wrapping, it was way too thick. The chili oil was also too greasy. Their hakaw is easily the worst I’ve had so far, and I already tried a lot.
