What’s up with just one person taking orders? why do waiters need to wait for the lady (Manager i think) to be the one getting the order? Just takes up too much time. No problem with the food, but the services eek. That’s why im giving it a 3.0 rate.
All of their branches that I know of are located where Puregold supermarket is. One good thing about it is there’s always free parking. They serve good and affordable Chinese food. My current favorite is their adobo style fish fillet.
Usually when you eat out and try a new restaurant you try the things you don’t get to try in other restos, I suggest getting the peking duck and have it cooked three ways, first the skin is enveloped in some thin wrapper with cucumber and hoisin sauce, second one is diced duck meat with carrots and tomatoes, and oh don’t forget the wanton croutons, you eat it like what you do with samgyup, place some on top of your cabbage then add hoisin sauce, the third one would probably be the flesh and bones of the duck deep fried then given with lots of garlic and coarse salt, don’t forget to try it with their own vinegar. This one’s kinda pricey but if you really want it I can guarantee you’ll like it.You can also try the taro puffs and the fish fillet with cheese sauce. Or the fresh shrimps.Anyway, I prefer the duck since I don’t like the way other restaurants cook them. That’s just my two cents.Enjoy.
We always order almost the same things here at every visit. Their cheese and butter fish fillet has a large serving size which is perfect for sharing. Their spareribs are partnered with vinegar but taste well on its own. Sometimes they have more fat than meat but the flavors are intact.
Reviewing luk foo cantonese kitchen – ordered crispy lemon chicken, buttered fish, crispy shanghai rolls and yang chow. Lemon sauce is perfect with a very light sweet-sour tang. Chicken was crunchy but starchy. Cream dory fish was seasoned just enough and swimming in butter with cream sauce which didnt do much to enhance the fish. I countered the flavor using the chili sauce and it matched alright. The crispy shanghai rolls were high on msg and runny inside. Yang chow flavor was surprisingly toned down and had smoky undertones. At least it did not overpower given the classic salty msg flavors of the dishes. Service is average and place has a lot of room to accommodate more diners.
