Alegria : Happiness in the ModernAmidst the chaotic world we are all living in, the daily struggles and surviving moments of our lives, we deserve to be happy once more. Here at ALEGRIA COZINHA MODERNA AND SANGRIA BAR, I found the the happiness that a modern kitchen brings. And here are the 3 Things I loved about this place:1. The SANGRIA and cocktails2. The STEAK3. The humungous COLORFUL MURALBelow are the list of what we had:1. The SANGRIA and cocktails:BASIC WHITE SANGRIA – the light and citrus taste is so refreshing, not too much alcohol in it though.BASIC RED SANGRIA – what I love about this drink is that it has real ripe mango slices and cherry as toppings which adds sweetness to the drink.VERDE – is one of the new cocktails on the list, it has cucumber and kiwi in it and is really a very light and refreshing drink, perfect for any food.LITCHI – lychee infused clear cocktail with a very inviting look from the blueish flower.2. Must try foods on the menu:PESCADO – composed of Fish, Pasilla Relish, Charred Pineapple and Corn, Red Cabbage laid on Tortilla Frijol; an interesting fusion of flavors and something new to my taste buds, its savory and also sweet at the same time.AGUA CHILE DE INFLADITA – composed of Shrimp, Chile Water, Charred Pineapple and Corn, Cilantro Chutney in Inflated Tortilla; this appetizer will surely make you ask for more. The distinct taste of the cilantro chutney made this dish more exciting and appetizing.FEIJOADA – Grilled Bacon Gordita, Black Bean Stew, Farofa, Edamame, Calabresa Sausage, with Burnt Oranges and Smoked Grapes. Another interesting dish that you should try.FRICASÈ DE POLLO – Braised Chicken with Sofrito, Morita, Hoja Aguacate, Potatoes, Cilantro and Arroz. This well cooked chicken is so tender and flavorful, can’t resist having some more.CARNE DEL GAUCHO – 500G USDA Prime Grade Rib Eye Steak served with Corn and Zucchini Asada, Garlic Confi, Chimichurri and Pasilla Barbecue Sauce. My FAVORITE! Tender meat, marbling fats that melts in your mouth, ooooohhhh I can eat this all day.CAYO – St. Louis Avocado Ice Cream, with Cajeta Cona, Muscovado Crumble, Kiwi and caramel sauce. This ice cream combination is something to look forward everytime you’ll come back, I like that the ice cream itself is not too sweet and sugary.3. The HUMUNGOUS MURAL depicting a festive, happy, beautiful and colorful painting of a woman. So after work anytime of the week, visit this place and have some happiness in their modern and innovative foods and drinks.Aside from that, enjoy the Latin American feels through their music and calm ambiance. Also, do not forget their ALEGRIA HOUR!Alegria “Happy” HourThank you to Denise and Chef for accommodating us and of course Thank you Mommy Ojie for this wonderful experience.ALEGRIA COZINHA MODERNA AND SANGRIA BAR (Opens at 11AM)4F, Uniqlo Building,Bonifacio High Street,Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City#alegriamnl #cozinhamoderna #sangriabar #welovetoeatph #kwenthoughtelling #pauoiefoodandlife#foodandlife #latinamericandish#latinamerican #latinamericancuisine #wheninbgc #discoverbgc #foodandlifephilippines #foodandlifeph #steaks #sangria #cocktails #mocktails #foodfusion #zomato#alegria#barhopping#foodandlife#happy#happypauoie#kwenthoughtelling#latinamerican#latinamericancuisine#mural#sangria#steaks#welovetoeatph#wheninbgc pauoiefoodandlife.wordpress.com
What we had:Japonesa tacosMaracuja SangriaChuletas de PorcoPollo PeruanoWhat I loved:Ahh, everything that came to our table tasted as good as it looked. I love peruvian chicken and if it’s in the menu, there is no way i’m not getting it. Their version of it was great and I loved how the chimichurri mixed with the yellow rice and the corn. The small taco I got was also really good too, had a lot of unique and interesting flavors that mixed really well. We went here mainly to try their food out but the sangria I had made me want to go back for their bar as well! Such a gem. Next time I find myself in BGC again, this surely is the place to come back to.
