First time at Hai Kang, and I was equally impressed and not impressed. Impressed because the service was SO FAST. Food came out less than 10mins after we ordered, which is super impressive for a Chinese restaurant. Not super impressed because some staple Chinese dishes weren’t great, plus the restaurant ambiance is crazy (very crowded!)What I would 100% recommend:1. Shredded chicken with mango cold cuts2. Seafood pumpkin soupAmbivalent – decent but not wow:1. Birthday noodles2. Steam lapu lapu in soy sauce3. Beef tenderloin Chinese style4. Polonchay with garlicWhat I wouldn’t order again:1. Two way Peking duck2. Steamed crab in egg white: the crab itself was good! But the egg white was miniscule. I think we might’ve been better off if we got crab with sotanghon
