Tried Benguet Drip Coffee and Quezo de Bola cake tonight. They’re perfect together. I also like their ambiance and playlist. Giving them a 3 for this visit as my original order (creme brulee/sansrival) was no longer available. Will probably come back to try their other dessert and coffee selections. merrywanna.blogspot.com

Food is good. Tried their sisig silog and misua soup. Paired my coffee with dessert (queso de bola). One thing to note though, this place is serves alcoholic drinks thus, customers can be so loud.

Went here for breakfast. They had a long list of food on the breakfast menu, but not everything was available. I was forced to order Tuyosilog. I felt bad when my order arrived because the serving was so small. Pros- they served it fast and coffee was hot. Not sure if i would want to come back.

I had Cappuccino and Spicy Tuyo Pasta. It was good. But I find it a bit off that even the last piece of white (tasty) bread (the one with brown color side) was served together with the pasta. I do not eat that part, even if we buy white bread at home.

I have eaten at this restaurant 3 times already with my mom. The first 2 was for breakfast. The 3rd time, we dined for dinner. The first two times that we ate at Elm’s was great! We enjoyed their silogs and desserts. However, our experience during our dinner wasn’t that good. We ordered lomi, kare kare, and hito. The lomi was too salty like they spilled salt on it. We mentioned it to the staff, and they tried to fix it. But it was just still too salty to eat. Next, the karekare had a unusual taste. Maybe it could be their own recipe, but we didn’t like it that much. The hito was good. Hand down.

Coffee was good. My tocilog was disappointing. Tocino was very fatty and the serving size was small. Boyfriend’s adobo flakes rice was so-so. A bit on the expensive side given their serving size. Service was good.

Kapihan ni Igan is a good place to have some coffee and breakfast. I’d say the concept is similar to that of old cafes that also serve beer at night. I tried their tuyo pesto pasta and I enjoyed it, specially at 150. It’s a good alternative to CBTL’s anchovy pesto pasta. The rice meals are also okay. Coffee is good but a bit more expensive than other places. My biggest quirk is that they play Hagibis which is music something you can’t really focus with, specially since I go there to work. But I guess that music comes with their concept.
