I’ve been here and all I can say is wooow! The foods are delicious yet not so pricey. I ordered Cajun Chicken, Salisbury Steak, Choco Lava, Potato Wedges and Milktea. The 2 main entree and potato wedges are all delicious. The choco lava is yummy also but nothing’s unique, just the usual. I was quite disappointed with the milktea. No pearl + the milk taste is more dominant than the tea taste. The students(crew) there are so accomodating!!
Andrew’s menu changes every term so it’s hard if you actually find something you like and then look for it again a few months later. My friend and I got the Crispy Kare-kare and the Cajun Chicken respectively. I personally found that the kare-kare lacked a lot of sauce. It looked really sad and just seemed like normal deep-fried pork belly. Their cajun chicken was tender and the sauce was really good. The beans were cooked to a good crisp but the carrots were still a bit hard. They could’ve added more flavor to the rice as well instead of just coloring it, but it went well with the viand. As for service, I’d have to say they could’ve improved it a lot better bc it was hard to capture their attention like when we needed more water, were about to order, and bill out.
Food quality has been improving and has faster service 🙂
Since this cafe is run mostly by CSB students, the probability of getting slow service and unsatisfactory meals is high. I experienced this today together with the rest of our group. We were all together in the executive room for a meeting prior to the actual talk. On average, our food arrived at a pace of at least 30 minutes, with one of us waiting at least an hour. I received a chocolate pastry as their way to compensate. My order of Iberian Chicken was nothing like how it should be. It lacked the seasoning to make it such a dish. It was like a pan-fried chicken with salt and pepper. The side vegetables though were good, crisp and tasty. I also got their version of Sago Gulaman. It turned out to be more of a dessert than a drink, due to its outrageous amounts of sago and gulaman. I did appreciate that it was not too sweet. alwayshungry.ph
