I love the concept of D’Lechoneros. One order is good for two servings. It is very delicuous and affordable. The place is also very retro with a mix of vintage and modern. I so love eating here.
I got the lechon with laing and atsuete rice. The lechon meat to be fair, wasn’t hard. It was easy to chew, though it lacked some flavor. It had a kick of saltiness and some pepper, but it was lacking. The lechon skin was crispy, yet not too crispy. When you bite on it, it gives the crunch sound, yet you can’t chew further as it sticks all over your teeth, plus it becomes no longer crunchy after the first crunch. It went well with their spicy vinegar dip. The laing was good, it had a generous amount of greens with the gata flavor dominant on the dish; it was neither too salty nor too spicy.
We were in the mood for some vegetarian food and Letchonero serves decent choices at wallet friendly prices. We got Lumpiang Ubod, Chopsuey and Pinakbet. Lumpiang Ubod was the best among the three. Chopsuey was ok. Pinakbet roasted a bit sour.
Got 10% more credits today when I loaded up via their Vikings card. That kinda got me to order more than I can handle. I guess their campaign works for customers like me. D’Letchoneros is your stop if you are craving for roast pig or roast chicken. It’s like your upscale version of Andok’s or Baliwag. They sell the meats whole or cut individually via plates with side dishes.I got the Roast Chicken plate with Pinakbet and Puso ng Saging for just Php 198. It’s a decent solo order, ideal for office workers near the area. The chicken had depth in flavor, no need for extra sauce. alwayshungry.ph
