Bubble gum for my little one. I haven’t had this in years, and by that at least a decade. Tastes exactly the same as it did. I like the texture of the dots.
I’ve always seen this ice cream store. I get to try but never got to pursue it. Until today. Yes the concept is different but it doesn’t follow good. At least for my personal preference. For Php 175 which I think is pricey, you get to choose up to 3 flavors. Their best selling Strawberry Shortcake wasn’t good so I opted for same ones- Mint Chocolate, Chocolate and Coffee. It was tough identifying each one inside your mouth. Yes they were district at first but it has an icey feel after. It’s like ice sweetened. They do offer traditional ice cream options and they are packed called Monster Munch. One day I’ll try and let you know what I think. alwayshungry.ph
When I was younger (15+ years ago), in my mind, Dippin’ Dots is overpriced ice cream. I certainly couldn’t afford it with my student’s allowance (well i could but that would probably mean sacrificing lunch). But nowadays, their pricing is quite decent compared to the high prices of gelato and home-made ice cream stands in the market. they didn’t increase their prices too much despite inflation and increasing rent in the commercial areas. My kids love Dippin’ Dots ice cream, and even I am intrigued at how they are able to keep the ice cream in small pellet form. It’s a unique and interesting experience as the texture of pelletized ice cream melting in your mouth is certainly not common. Dippin Dot’s has been around now for a quite a while and they are likely to stay with their currently not so expensive pricing (nowadays) and their unique product. snapsnstories.blogspot.com
Not to give too much of a flack, but you’re seriously paying for the novelty here. Hey, frozen beads of ice cream! How ’bout that?! But yeah, favorites are Moose Trail, Tutti Fruity, and Banana Split. I gave their vanilla a chance. I definitely did. But it wasn’t how I prefer my vanilla to be.
Dippin’ Dots tastes and looks good, but budget wise, it costs more than what I think I am actually getting. So when on my own, I would not think twice of passing this by and buying my ice cream elsewhere. But this branch does have its merits, especially when i have my nephew with me. Kids definitely enjoy these kinds of things and i do splurge on my nephew, so this is one of those places that i would only go to when i have kids with me.
