I don’t know why the rating of this place is so low.I’ve eaten here twice, enjoyed both times. Even my dad who is usually picky with food loves their burritos. I’ve tried the soft tacos and it’s pretty good!
Not bad in taste but value for money when compared to the serving sizes of the other stalls in the corner market is a bit lagging. Tacos, though very tasty, was a bit small in serving.
Was quite disappointed with this because nothing seemed to be of good quality. They’re quite pricey for what you get, especially in comparison to other street style taco places. They also didn’t give me any sauce initially. Had to go back for some. The tortillas were quite dry and hard. The only one I remotely enjoyed was the shrimp taco, cause the shrimp was quite nice. But the rest of it..meat, sauce, tortilla..I wouldn’t call any of it ‘good.’
This is one of the few restaurants i’ve tried in Metro Manila that comes close to serving an authentic tex mex style burrito like you would find in the U.S. The food here is good and we eat here just about every time we are at Podium. Horchata was also great and refreshing here.
Authenticated and marked for a return dining experience! Best carnitas ive had. This restaurant is gonna get stuck in your head. I kept thinking and dreaming of that taco since ive had it last month!!! Cant wait to come back
BAD SERVICE. MY FAMILY WAS HARASSED BY THE MANAGEMENT OF LA TAQUERIA DEL CHUPACABRA. The chef, Ms. Donna, harassed and accused us of stealing the order of the other customer just because his food tray was on our table. We had the other person’s order because the cashier told us to get his tray as well from the counter without bothering to look at our receipt. After that, Ms. Donna disturbs us in the middle of our peaceful lunch, and frames us for stealing the order without listening to our explanation. She accused us for being thieves. The nerve! She was so rude, bastos and unprofessional. She could have been polite and more understanding. But she ruined our family lunch by her arrogance and unwillingness to listen to us. Our parents, who were also distraught, stood up for all of us. The chef apologized (with no remorse and humility, only lip service), but only after we gave her a piece of our minds. She tried to justify her anger by saying that the other customer was already mad that he didn’t get his order. THAT DOES NOT JUSTIFY HER RUDENESS AND INSENSITIVITY TO ANYONE.We are genuinely concerned for the other customers- that they might be harassed, abused and treated like garbage- just like what the La Taqueria management did to us. They should look into this, or else this will not be very good for their image and reputation. I’m not recommending this place to anyone until the management learns how to become decent human beings. If you value your sanity and peace of mind, you will avoid this place at all costs. Ms. Donna ruined our beautiful Sunday lunch. It was a waste of money to spend on a harrowing experience such as this. 0 STARS.PS: There’s nothing special about their food.
The dishes were yummy! The only disappointment was the way the food was served. On a plate that was still very much wet from washing. At first we thought it was drops of lime juice and inquired with the manager who immediately apologized.
